”WHEN IN ROME.”
Live from the Colosseum in Rome, Italy.
Saturday 7th December, 2024.
FIRST MATCH | 1/20. Brooklyn Steiner vs. Nova Taylor. Singles Match. The Fallout Eliminator: First Round. Match Writer: Beavie. |
The first match of the second Fallout Eliminator tournament could be considered somewhat of a rematch from the Lights Out Pay-Per-View. Nova Taylor’s Eternal defeated Brooklyn Steiner’s Cinematic Universe in the final of the Elite Tag Team Classic Redemption Bracket to earn a future shot at the FWA World Tag Team Championships currently held by FTN. But this is a new tournament and a focus on singles competition; Steiner will be hoping to avenge his team’s defeat at Lights Out, with the edge likely being given to the former Television Champion. However the unpredictable Taylor cannot be ruled out. Steiner of course faces the prospect of coming up against his tag team partner Aaron Harrows if both members of the Cinematic Universe make it past Round One. . |
SECOND MATCH | 1/20. Captain Righteous vs. TJ Alexander. Singles Match. The Fallout Eliminator: First Round. Match Writer: supinesnake. |
Captain Righteous was unable to make good on his vow to dethrone XYZ and capture the FWA Television Championship at Lights Out, but now can have his enhanced eyes on a greater prize through the Fallout Eliminator tournament. His opponent is making their FWA debut; TJ Alexander arrives wirh much promise and potential as a rather decorated competitor in other promotions. Righteous will assuredly continue as if his match wirh XYZ never happened, in the same tack as his previous defeat to DUDE-!, but he would be rise to not rule out “The Game Changer”, who could do just that wirh an impressive showing in his FWA debut. A chance for a Righteous redemption awaits, as the winner of this match will face XYZ in Round Two. |
THIRD MATCH | 1/20. Alejandro Giunti, Luna Piper and Jin-ho (c) vs. TR1CK OR TR4SH (Halloween Knight, Trash Mammal and Juan Tothrefor). Trios Match for the FWA Trios Championships. Match Writer: Man. |
Despite the fact that it was the glorious team of Ton Tonton, Michelle von Horrowitz, and Vengador that handed the team of Luna Piper, Jin-Ho, and Alejandro Giunti - the current FWA Trios Champions - their first defeat as a team back on Meltdown XLV, FWA management has seen fit to instead book the champions against Tr1ck or Tr4sh for their first defense. The menage-a-trois of Trash Mammal, Halloween Knight, and Juan Tothrefor have, of course, reigned as the FWA Trios Champions themselves directly before the current holders, until they were defeated as part of the annual Back in Business trios battle royale. Some members of Tr1ck or Tr4sh have been vocal about the defenses they made and, in comparison, the fact that the trios titles have not been defended since they lost them at Back in Business, and such pressure has paid dividends, as they will have the chance to reclaim their place at the top of the division on Meltdown XLVI. |
FOURTH MATCH | 1/20. Nick Williamson vs. Alyster Black. Singles Match. The Fallout Eliminator: First Round. Match Writer: Man. |
Alyster Black successfully defended the FWA World Tag Team Championships alongside Chris Peacock at Lights Out, before they along wirh their challengers Vox Potential were laid out by NTR - a group which includes the man awaiting the victor of this bout, Nova Diamond. Before Black can look ahead to a potential FTN vs NTR encounter, he must set his sights on Nick Williamson. Williamson fell to Vengador on the Lights Out Launch Pad show, but definitely turned some heads with his performance. Tournaments like this are made for upsets and Williamson is the kind to not rule out his own chances against the former two-time FWA World Champion.. |
FIFTH MATCH | MAIN EVENT | 1/20. Blair Ravenwood vs. Jackson Fenix. Singles Match. The Fallout Eliminator: First Round. Match Writer: Jimmy. |
Arguably the standout tie in the opening round of the Fallout Eliminator will main event Meltdown XLVI, with Jackson Fenix taking on the new FWA X Champion, Blair Ravenwood. Since Back in Business, Blair has been on a tear with boyfriend/mentor Saint Sully in her corner, and this momentum led her to take Trixie Bordeaux out and then overthrow Tommy Bedlam at Lights Out. The FWA World Championship will be well within ‘The Queen Bee’s sights, but standing in her way is a man who has embodied defiance in recent weeks. Jackson Fenix showed no fear in the face of NTR and valiantly battled agajnst Danny Toner at Lights Out, but fell just short. With his partner Nate Savage falling victim to Keres at Lights Out as well, it will take a lot of focus for Fenix to properly prepare for Ravenwood in Meltdown’s main event.. |

FIRST MATCH | 1/20. Chris Peacock vs. Ryan St.James. Singles Match. The Fallout Eliminator: First Round. Match Writer: Man. |
Ryan St. James made his debut on the Lights Out Launch Pad as part of the Sin City Renegades alongside Jason Jetta. The two boosted their credentials in the tag team division with a victory, and St. James has a chance to instantly propel his team into contention when he comes up against one half of the current FWA World Tag Team Champions, and Grand Slam Champion, Chris Peacock. Lights out was an emotional mixed bag for Peacock, who successfully defeated Vox Potentis alongside Alyster Black, but suffered the betrayal of his longtime manager Allen Price and then another NTR attack. Danny Toner awaits the winner of this match so Peacock will be going full force. |
SECOND MATCH | 1/20. Koala Kid vs. Shawn Summers. Singles Match. The Fallout Eliminator: First Round. Match Writer: supinesnake. |
The inclusion of Shawn Summers in the Fallout Eliminator went under the radar but has generated a lot of buzz behind the scenes. ‘Der Bastard’ has been absent since his defeat to MvH at Back in Business but now turns his attention to the Fallout Eliminator - a tournament he went deep into three years ago. Newcomer Kid Koala stands across the ring from him and the marsupic competitor brings a large layer of intrigue along with him. A mouthwatering tie against Cyrus Truth awaits the winner of this one.. |
THIRD MATCH | 1/20. Traffic Cone #2 vs. DUDE-!. Singles Match. The Fallout Eliminator: First Round. Match Writer: bongo. |
Lights Out can be considered an unmitigated success for NTR, the group achieving a needed bounce back after consecutive disappointments heading into San Juan. The NTR Dojo continued their winning ways by defeating and then taking out The Lumberjacks on the Launch Pad, and then the group got some payback on FTN and Vox Potentis at the same time. Traffic Cone #2 will want to follow up on his recent victory against Joe Burr agajnst DUDE-!. After a strong start to the FWA, the Ground Zero winner fell to Mike Parr at Lights Out, so we will find out how he responds after tasting defeat for the first time. |
FOURTH MATCH | 1/30. XYZ (c) vs. Mike Parr. Singles Match for the FWA Television Championship. Match Writer: supinesnake. |
In the battle of good and evil/righteous, XYZ triumphed at Lights Out against Captain Righteous to retain the FWA Television Championship. Mike Parr was able to turn his luck around at the same event, snapping his losing streak to earn a championship opportunity by defeating DUDE-!. With both competitors receiving a bye for the first round of the Fallout Eliminator, FWA management saw it fit to strike whilst both irons are hot and gave them battle it out for the FWA Television Championship on Fallout 046.. |
FIFTH MATCH | 1/20. Jason Jetta vs. Keres. Singles Match. The Fallout Eliminator: First Round. Match Writer: Welsh. |
Both competitors in this match were part of teams victorious at Lights Out, as part of the Sin City Renegades and Eternal. Keres had the additional involvement on the show when she attacked Nate Savage backstage, for reasons which will hopefully become apparent soon. Jason Jetta proved a dangerous competitor in his performance against TR1CK OR TR4SH, but he will have to be on his toes in his singles debut in the FWA. Keres has rarely ventured into singles competition but this will not stop her wanting to add another name onto the path of destruction she has left in her wake in recent months.. |
SIXTH MATCH | 1/20. Deena Hixx vs. Tommy Bedlam. Singles Match. The Fallout Eliminator: First Round. Match Writer: Tommy. |
Tommy Bedlam lost the X Championship to Blair Ravenwood at Lights Out and has the chance to bounce back immediately against newcomer Deena Hixx. Hixx will be looking to take a big scalp on her debut so Tommy should know not to take this challenge lightly. Bedlam has shown incredible promise throughout his FWA career and this tournament could be the chance for him to break into the main event scene that he has flirted with for some time. A victory in Round One is a must for that to happen, though.. |
SEVENTH MATCH | 1/20. Vengador vs. Aaron Harrows. Singles Match. The Fallout Eliminator: First Round. Match Writer: Dubb. |
The final match of the opening round will see Aaron Harrows and Vengador going head to head, in a ‘could have been’ match from this year’s Back in Business. Harrows and Vengador, of course, competed as part of the X4 tournament at the aforementioned summer extravaganza, but were both eliminated in the first round by different opponents. Harrows was defeated by Trixie Bordeaux, and Vengador by Tommy Bedlam, but - thanks to a helping hand from Lady Luck - we’ll get to see that X4 match that never happened, with the pair drawing each other in the Fallout Eliminator first round. Despite passing like ships in the night in Mexico City, the two know each other well, having competed in various tag team matches during the run-up to Back in Business, but not thus far against one another in singles competition. |
EIGHTH MATCH | MAIN EVENT | 1/20. Jeremy Best and Lizzie Rose vs. Black Caramel (Alyster Black and Gabrielle. Tag Team Match. Match Writer: Dubb. |
Jeremy Best and Gabrielle clashed in a classic match over the FWA World Championship in the main event of last Sunday’s ‘Lights Out’, with Best eventually managing to overcome the Goddess and retain his title… but he didn’t do it alone, receiving a surprise helping hand from Lizzie Rose, a woman who was present to provide a balance against Best’s usual assortment of cronies. Rose has had a tumultuous year herself, mostly due to her lengthy entanglement with Eternal and - as part of this group - the latest in her series of battles against Gabrielle. In Fallout 046’s main event, Jeremy Best and Lizzie Rose will take this new relationship to the next level… when they tag together, with an undoubtedly angry Gabrielle on the opposite side of the ring. The Goddess’ partner? Alyster Black, a man who she teamed with as part of the first Elite Tag Team Classic, way back in 2020, and with whom she has shared another tumultuous relationship. Gabrielle will be hoping that ‘Black Caramel’ can rekindle some of their old chemistry as she looks to gain an advantage in her ongoing rivalry with the champion. |
