In the world of Joshi wrestling, Saori Suzuki has remained one of its most consistent faces for the past decade. Getting into wrestling just after High school as a way to find something fitting for her size, Though starting in Joshi Worldwide Puroresu, Saori blossomed to the sport and since became synonymous with the promotion of COSMIC Joshi Wrestling, with her rivalries with the likes of Rin Tsukiyama, Queen Yoshida, and Stephanie Starr for some of the promotions top titles put it on the map.

Early on in her career, she was part of a group called the Tokyo Death Crew, a group name which likely provided inspiration later on for a certain Death Squad. She was seen as a bruiser for the group, someone with potential, but was mainly used to solve others problems, but became a tag champion twice. After its dissolution, she saw a chance to rise the ranks, forming MAYHEM, claiming to be its boss. The group would last several years, and she would add singles gold to her resume, including the top two championships in COSMIC multiple times over. MAYHEM proved to be a moral gray area for sometime, the moral ambiguity between the Villainous Sin and the heroic Cosmica, led by Yoshida and Tsukiyama respectively. But in the past couple years, the group of MAYHEM have began to lean closer to the heroic side in part due to their rising popularity, the feel-good recruitment of Vampyra (now Katsu) with her team with Ririko and Cali Hayama. But, also Suzuki has felt a need to help her legacy, thus becoming kinder out of the ring, more accepting of fans.

Though her story has not been always peachy as she has had several injuries over her over decade career, most notably her knee, requiring three different surgeries with the most recent one taking her out of action for over a year. Upon her return, appearing at the co-branded event hosted by NTE, she made several announcements. First of which, with her group splitting due to her absence and the growing jealousy from some of its longest serving members, would be dissolved. Second, she was given permission from CJW to Freelance more and work her own schedule after years of a brutal style. However, her body continued to break down, thus resulting in her to make the tough decision to announce her upcoming retirement.

Attire:

See above as her attire generally matches with baggy tights, boots, and facepaint. Add a knee brace on her right knee. For entrances she has a full robe with a skull mask.

Style of wrestling (brawler, high flyer, technical, etc.): In CJW she’s for sure a bruiser with a strong style, suplex heavy move-set. Think Ishii and Minou Suzuki meets Tazz. Even against Male wrestlers, she’s still capable of dropping someone or picking them up apart from Super heavyweights, though those who push the upper end of the 200’s she may need to pick her spot and get momentum. Her speed isn’t what it was after her knee injuries, but she’s still explosive, especially for her Spear. She may have “softened” a bit out of the ring, but in the ring there’s no use for kindness.

Long-Staff with various graffiti designs on it. It’s dubbed “The Equalizer” as she often uses it as a counter to cheating, or against an opponent who is “deserving” of it. If there’s someone who fights with honour, she’ll generally give you that much as to not use it.

Entrance:
The opening to “Crimson Flames” plays through the speakers as the lights of the venue begin to dim while smoke builds in the entranceway. After twenty seconds, the lights of the arena begin to flash purple as the living Japanese legend, Saori Suzuki makes her way out. Her rope sways slightly as she walks, with her signature staff on her shoulder, mask covering her face. She stands on the stage with her head tilting slightly before she makes her way down the ramp, putting her fist forward.



At the end of the ramp, Saori turns to the steps to go up them. She wipes off her feet before stepping into the ring over the middle rope. Suzuki paces around the ring before she gets down on one knee in the middle, looking at the hard camera. She puts her fist out before removing her entrance mask, showing an intensity in her eyes and a wicked sneer on her face. She gets up and goes to her team’s corner as her theme music fades away and she sheds her robe. At the referee’s order, she places her staff down on the outside of the ring.

Tiger X, as he is known, is a young up and coming Jr. Heavyweight wrestler in Japan, and, much like it is seen from his mask, is the nephew of the Grand Tiger, a Jr Heavyweight innovator in the land of the rising sun. Less than a year into wrestling, he’s already shown flashes of brilliance, athletic, good timing, hard hitting, but still rough around the edges. Before wrestling, as he stated in interviews, he went to finish his education first, and worked ‘a normal job’ while training, to ensure he had back-up plans. He’s shown himself to be more bold compared to his uncle, a more straight laced person of honour. His debut was him challenging someone to an impromptu match (In his defense, the guy deserved it). But at his heart, the man known as Tiger X is a force for good, giving respect to those older than him who paved the way, and to those who also fight with their heart. Especially his partnership with Katsu, occasionally mixing it up with mixed-tag team matches, has endeared him to fans, with the two masked wrestlers showing they work well as a mixed-tag team. He's got a lot of the tools, but lacks the experience to put it together, with his singles record being mixed at best. 


With his family history, it opened a door for him to Pro-Wrestling Kitsune, an up-and-coming promotion his Uncle has worked on behind the scenes. The fear of being labeled a “nepotism hire” is in the back of his mind, as is trying to live up to his family’s legacy. Can Tiger X really carve his own legacy?

Entrance:

A Tiger growls over the loud speakers as the guitar intro begins. The LED lights flash various tiger inspired designs as the lights flash to the tune of the music. After 18 seconds, Tiger X makes his way out, hopping in place before kneeling down on the stage. He crosses his arms in front of his face before letting our a roar and leaping in the air. Heading down the ramp, he holds his fist in the air, pumping it as he continues on. 

English Announcer:

On his way down the ramp, Tiger X keeps his energy high, walking down at a brisk pace. Looking out to the crowd, he acknowledges some of the fans, occasionally giving a high five to any younger fans within reach. At ringside, he kneels down in front of the steps, stretching, before walking up and onto the apron. He hypes up the fans and vaults over the top rope and into the ring, heading to the top turnbuckle.

Japanese Announcer:

Upon hearing his name, Tiger X points to the air before letting out a roar and jumping down from the turnbuckles. His theme music fades as he takes off his jacket.

Gimmick/Backstory: Imagine if your high school mean girl was also a goth and could beat up the teachers who would try to help you. That's Penelope Grace, better known in the wrestling world as Penny Dreadful. Choosing an Aesthetic that blends Victorian horror with steampunk. Standing 6'1, she leverages her imposing stature and strength to dominate her opponents. and has been one of the top gaijins in Japan for many years.

But she's not some DARK and MYSTERIOUS wrestler despite what her aesthetic might tell you, quite frankly. Dreadful is...just kind of a jerk. Delighting in bullying and pushing around the often far shorter wrestlers in the joshi world. She has no respect for anyone or anything, often attacking announcers, bullying referees and basically spitting in the face of the honorable culture of Joshi wrestling because....Well, because she can, whose going to stop her from doing what she wants, when she wants? 

In the colorful world of Joshi wrestling, Penny Dreadful is the color black and seems to be on a personal mission to make sure every one is as miserable as her.

She is clad in a dramatic, Victorian-inspired steampunk outfit, featuring a tight, black leather corset adorned with intricate brass buckles and clockwork designs. Her ensemble is completed with high, knee-length boots, decorated with metal plates and cogs, adding to her imposing presence. Her dark, wavy hair cascades over her shoulders.

She comes to the ring in a long, dark leather trench coat adorned with brass gears, chains, and tattered edges. her face is partially obscured by a brass half-mask, styled like a plague doctor's, She carries a parasol with a rusted, ornate design, which she occasionally uses as a weapon or prop during her entrance.

 she often sports a large, silver pendant resembling a clockwork mechanism around her neck.


Wrestling Style: Standing over 6 feet tall, Dreadful has a natural advantage over most wrestlers, particularly in the world of Joshi wrestling. Her wrestling style is built around her size and strength. She utilizes her impressive physicality to overpower her opponents with a mix of high-impact moves and brute force. Her strength allows her to execute devastating power moves with ease.

Entrance motion: The lights are dark and flickering as Penny Dreadful comes out from her dark leather trench coat, adorned with brass gears and chains. It billows dramatically around her as she moves.

Penny uses her parasol with a flourish. She holds it aloft, twirling it slowly. The parasol's dark, rusted metal and intricate design gleam in the light. She usually pauses to lift the parasol and extend it, as if to ward off unseen forces or to cast an intimidating shadow over the audience.

When she finally steps into the ring, Penny slowly removes her parasol and drapes her trench coat over the ropes with a practised almost theatrical grace. She takes a moment to survey the ring, her eyes sweeping over her surroundings with a chilling, predatory focus.
