At the FWA 19th Anniversary Show, we saw one of the most brutal attacks by one FWA star to another when Blair Ravenwood and her boyfriend Saint Sully assaulted Trixie Bordeaux. The match started as a one on one X Rules match, but quickly turned into a two on one beat down when Saint Sully joined in to attack Trixie during her match against his girlfriend Blair Ravenwood. The match ended after Ravenwood brutally smashed Trixie's head against the steel ring steps, an act of revenge for Trixie doing the same thing to Blair's sister Celestia Ravenwood at Back in Business XVIII.
But the assault did not stop there. After the match, it seemed like Blair was walking away, but then turned back down the ramp and chased off medics who were attending to Bordeaux. She then proceeded to place Trixie's knee inside of a steel chair, throw down the steel steps on top, and then jump on top of it from the top turnbuckle effectively crushing the right leg of Trixie Bordeaux.
Before Blair jumped, she was pleaded to get down and walk away by both Saint Sully and Jon Russnow. Russnow specifically warned there would be consequences if she did not comply, but Blair ignored that warning and did the act anyway.
Now those consequences have been made clear. Mr. Russnow has announced that Blair Ravenwood will be suspended, without pay, for this next Meltdown/Fallout cycle.
Russnow confirmed however that the bout between Blair Ravenwood and Tommy Bedlam for the X Championship at Lights Out is still on. Missing this next show cycle will be a missed opportunity for Blair Ravenwood to carry any momentum into her huge Lights Out match, but some are criticizing the punishment as "soft".
One fan commented "why does it feel like the punishment does not fit the crime?"
It definitely feels like Ravenwood got off easy on this one, at least compared to Trixie. We'll see if the suspension effects her as she heads into Lights Out in November.
