DUDE
Weight: 220 lbs
Hometown: Detroit, Michigan
Height: 6ft 0ins
Alignment: Face
Gimmick:
The Winner of Ground Zero and one of the most infamous figures in independent wrestling, many backyard, garbage hardcore promotions are awash with stories of an enthusiastic man with long hair and endless energy who would do the most insane stunts they have ever seen with no fear whatsoever, and then spend the night partying harder then Ric Flair on an airplane (But less problematic) and then vanish into the night, ready to go to the next backyard fed, leaving behind no name, no history, only one word
DUDE.
With a penchant for reckless living and an unrelenting passion for partying, Dude has become an infamous figure in wrestling.
Legend has it that Dude was once a promising young athlete, but his penchant for living on the edge and chasing the next high derailed his potential. The constant partying, wild nights, and questionable decisions, to the point where he even forgot his own name, earned him the moniker "Dude" from those around him. Despite his erratic lifestyle, or perhaps because of it, Dude had become a cult figure, deemed too weird and inconsistent to ever be mainstream.
...and then Ground Zero brought him in
Wrestling Style:
Dude is famous for two things in the ring. One of the most reckless wrestlers in the world, seemingly having no regard for his body whatsoever and absolutely no fear, he has crashed and burned almost a hundred times and hurt himself but keeps on coming back for more. He's the type of wrestler who would rather crash and burn attempting something insane and losing than have a normal wrestling match and win. That kind of style doesn't tend to result in many victories, but the high-risk, high-reward style is certainly entertaining.
The second thing to consider about Dude is that he is notorious for his inconsistency in the ring.
On one night, he might be the walking embodiment of a botch factory, stumbling through matches in a haze that clearly shows the toll of his lifestyle choices. His timing might be off, his moves sloppy, and his performance lacklustre. This is the version of Dude that major promotions fearβa liability in the ring.
On another night, however, Dude might be nothing short of a creative wrestling savant. He's capable of pulling off insane daredevil spots that leave the crowd in awe, using chairs as springboards for gravity-defying aerial attacks or inventing moves on the fly that no one has ever seen before. When this version of Dude shows up, he has the potential to steal the show, turning what could have been a routine match into a five-star classic.
Dude's in-ring style is a constant gamble. You never know which version of him you're going to get, and that unpredictability is part of what makes him so captivating to watch.
Attire;
He wears graphic tank tops adorned with band logos, provocative slogans, and graffiti-like designs. These tops are often distressed, with frayed edges and holes that add to his rugged, nonchalant appearance. His lower half is clad in distressed denim shorts or trousers, equally worn and patched up with various logos and designs. The denim is faded, ripped, and covered in patches. He completes the look with mismatched sneakers or boots, often brightly coloured or customized with graffiti.
