Live from Spyros Louis Olympic Stadium in Athens, Greece. Friday 27th January, 2023.
The show starts with an aerial shot of the Spyros Louis Olympic Stadium located in Athens, Greece. From this view it is clear that it is a sold out affair, appropriate given this is the ending to the Fantasy Wrestling Alliance’s 2022/23 European tour. Inside the stadium, we see that the crowd are in great spirits ahead of the show tonight. The voices of tonight’s commentary team are then heard for the first time.
Rod Sterling: “Ladies and gentlemen! Please allow me to welcome you all to a very special episode of FWA programming - Fight Night is back for one night only! I am Rod Sterling, and as we are throwing things back I’m joined tonight on this Fight Night by Daniella Kennedy and Christian Quinn!”
Daniella Kennedy: “It is great to be sharing a desk with you both once again, Rod! Tonight’s show is going to be something special, alright, as we will find out who will be advancing into the finals of the F1 Climaxxx tournament. Bryan Baxter and Michelle von Horrowitz will collide in the night’s first Semi Final and then in tonight’s main event; for the first time ever, Alyster Black will take on ‘The Exile’ Cyrus Truth. Cyrus taking the place of Chris Peaco-”
Christian Quinn: “That’s right, Cyrus Truth taking the spot of that bastard Chris Peacock in tonight’s main event after Peacock decided that he would challenge the new FWA World Champion Devin Golden at Back in Town, sacrificing his spot in the tournament like the coward that he is.”
Rod Sterling: “Now, now, Christian. If you insist on speaking in such a way about the number one contender for the FWA World Championship, at least wait until his match later on-”

Rod Sterling finds himself cut off by the music playing into the stadium and the crowd rousing themselves into a large amount of cheers, as they were expecting either Bryan Baxter or Michelle von Horrowitz to be the first through the curtain tonight. Instead, it is the man that will be challenging Devin Golden for the FWA World Championship at Back in Town on February 19th, Chris Peacock. ‘Disco’s Last Warrior’ has a confident air about him as he carries his meal ticket - the Golden Opportunity briefcase - with him towards the ring. Whilst dressed to compete due to having a match scheduled for later tonight, Peacock has a more relaxed air about him presently.
Daniella Kennedy: “Speak of the devil! Chris Peacock will be cashing in the title opportunity that he earned at Lights Out at Back in Town. He opted not to cash in on Devin Golden immediately after he defeated Alyster Black in that hellacious Winter Wasteland match on Fallout 026.”
Rod Sterling: “In Peacock’s own words, he did not want his own legacy to be tarnished as a result of winning the championship in such a manner. Questions have been made over his credentials ever since he stepped foot in an FWA ring. He has got himself into this position and he wants to prove that he deserves to be champion, and he’ll not take the easy way out.”
Christian Quinn: “If you believe that, you’re even more of a fool than you act like, Rod. This guy is a conniving piece of crap and you just watch when he has his match with Devin Golden at Back in Town. You watch him take that easy way out. If he wins, he won’t do it properly because he’s just not good enough.”
Peacock is now in the ring with a microphone in his hand, and the music fades out so the chanting of ‘LETS GO PEA-COCK!’ to boom around the stadium. Peacock grins and nods his head before raising the mic.
Chris Peacock: “Thank you, thank you. It has been a crazy couple of weeks, right?”
The cheer in agreement and Peacock shrugs.
Chris Peacock: “I don’t get what all the fuss has been about, to be honest. What’s happened? I don’t know!”
Feigning ignorance, Peacock looks to the fans and speaks to a couple in the front row off-mic, asking what all the fuss is about. He looks down into his hand and sees the briefcase, exclaiming loudly.
Chris Peacock: “OH! Oh, I think I know! Everyone is talking about this, right? They’re talking about how at Back in Town I’m going to win the FWA World Championship and I’m going to send Devin Golden packing!”
More cheers, and Peacock stomps around the ring in his exuberance.
Chris Peacock: “That’s right. After Back in Town there’s going to be no more singing, no more laughing and no more of that goofy ass voice that I am sick to DEATH of hearing! No more!”
Peacock nods his head.
Chris Peacock: “So enjoy him whilst you can, if for some reason you do. I am counting down the days and I know that many of you are too… because it is not long until I walk that piece of crap out the door and slam it shut behind him. You’ll see him one last time tonight, but at Back in Town in Denver, I will finish what Alyster Black started.”
A slightly more serious tone creeps into Peacock’s voice and he looks into the hard camera.
Chris Peacock: “I will kill the legend. No more ’Siempre... Devin Golden’s time will be OVER.”
Pleased with himself, Peacock’s demeanor lightens up again.
Chris Peacock: “Let’s focus on tonight, though! I’m feeling VERY happy to be here in Athens! Tonight’s match is just going to be a TASTE of what Devin has coming to him at Back in Town-”
“ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMBIEEEEEEEEEE!”
{ZOMBIE || THE CRANBERRIES}
The demeanor of Chris Peacock changes as the crowd rise to their feet as the NEW FWA World Champion walks out from the back with an intrigued look on his face. “The Rotten Gold” Devin Golden wears his bowler hat and has his cane, which is actually being used tonight as he still shows some of the battle scars from the Winter Wasteland match which took place a couple of weeks ago. What draws the attention though is Golden’s newest accessory, the big gold FWA World Championship belt draped over his shoulder.
Rod Sterling: “Devin Golden’s career survived the Winter Wasteland match against Alyster Black and he walked out of Istanbul with the FWA World Championship on his possession, a fifth victory which puts him joint second with Stu St. Clair, only one behind Chris Kennedy.”
Golden gets into the ring, wincing slightly due to his injuries suffered in that match with Black. Golden approaches Peacock in the ring and Peacock seems to have some words for his future opponent off-mic, but Golden reaches down and snatches the microphone out of Peacock’s hand! The crowd responds in surprise and Peacock’s eyes widen and he drops the briefcase as he contemplates attacking Golden, but the champ turns his back on Peacock and speaks into the microphone himself.
Devin Golden: “Whyyyyy … do I have to do this … again? Why does this fall … on me? These KIDS!
Alright … let’s teach.”
Peacock rolls his eyes as Golden is seeming to be gearing up for another monologue, but when Golden turns to face Peacock he reaches up and removes the hat from his head and ruffles up his hair. He drops the cane to the floor and the look on his face is a serious one.
Devin Golden: “I’m going … to put aside the speaking that annoys you and just … talk to you, Chris Peacock.”
Everyone is taken aback by the shift in tone from Golden. No one more so than Chris Peacock.
Devin Golden: “What do you think … honestly … you can take from me … that I care about?”
Peacock remains still, not giving any sort of response.
Devin Golden: “Do you think taking this World Championship from me is something … that will hurt me? I am ready to go home, Chris. Every day with this belt – to use an old cliche – is icing on the cake. Every day is an extra day in the sun that I’m thankful for and grateful for. It’s another day to call myself the best in the WHOOOOOLE … WORLD.
But I know it’ll end, Chris. Maybe not against you, maybe not the next match, but it’ll end. No one has ever been champion … forever. I know this. And I’ve accepted that death is coming. I thought it would’ve already come! So every day … I’m just happy.
You winning at Back in Town … that won’t hurt me. It won’t sting me. It won’t make me feel sad and angry and regretful. I have no regrets, Chris. I’ve done everything there is to do, and the things I haven’t done, I don’t have any desire to do them anymore.
I’ve won 14 championships in the FWA, Chris. That means I’ve lost 13 championships. I’ve grown a bit numb to the feeling of losing, Chris. Do you really think you can make it hurt more than the others? It won’t!"
Golden leans in closer to Peacock, who takes a small step backwards. Devin extends his free hand in front of him and motions towards Chris.
Devin Golden: "You’re not special, Chris Peacock. Stop trying to make yourself be special. You’re a person, Chris. You’re a person who has come through my dream – nothing more. And I should be a person who has come through your dream, Chris – nothing more.”
The packed stadium is almost silent as Peacock looks dead into the eyes of Golden. Devin continues.
Devin Golden: “But you keep trying to make it more, to make it hurt, to make it mean something extra, so that when you win, I will be sad as I leave forever. I won’t be. Nothing you can say or do will change that. Nothing.
I’m going to repeat myself to you, Chris. There is nothing you can do to hurt me, or to make me feel some emotional or psychological pain. I am not afraid of death, and I am not affected by who kills me. I welcome … death. It sounds peaceful. So I thank … whoever kills me … for bringing me that peace. And I thank … whoever doesn’t kill me … for granting me a few more days in the sun. So no matter what, Chris, I will thank you. You cannot hurt me.”
A close up shot of Peacock’s hand shows his fist balling and he slowly shakes his head, causing some minor amusement for the FWA World Champion.
Devin Golden: “I repeat it for you. You can’t hurt me. You can’t hurt me. You can’t hurt me.
You may gouge my eyes out and cut off an arm and do whatever maiming you have in mind but you cannot … hurt … my spirit. You can’t hurt my soul. You can’t make me care … about you.”
Peacock continues to shake his head. He is refusing to believe what he is being told.
Devin Golden: “I know you may not believe me, Chris. You might be thinking to yourself, ‘He’s just saying all of this. It's mind games. It's the usual stuff from a hack.’
I’m not trying to make you believe me … for me. I’m trying to make you believe me … for you. I’m trying to help you, Chris Peacock. As crazy as that may seem, I’m trying … to teach you something. I’m trying to teach you … that it cannot be … about me.”
It is clear that Peacock is trying to block out the words. His eyes soften and he continues to shake his head.
Devin Golden: “I’ve won fourteen championships. That’s a lot. More than anyone else has done. I’m going to tell you how.
I did it by not caring … about who stands across the ring from me. Very rarely do I care. A few exceptions, right? Ryan Rondo. Danny Toner. Stu St. Clair. Wolf. Alyster Black. But the main person I care about … is me. Even when I faced all of them, I cared more about ME being in that ring and fighting for that championship than the other person in the ring with me. That's how I did it fourteen times."
A smirk forms on Golden’s face and it is clear that Golden has subtly moved closer to Peacock and Chris backed away accordingly, he is almost right up against the turnbuckle.
Devin Golden: "YOU CAN BE WORLD CHAMPION, CHRIS! THIS IS EVERYTHING! Not the champion of the X. Not the champion of the Gauntlet division. Not the best of all the near-winners of the Carnal Contendership. You will be the best … IN THE WORLD.
THE. NUMBER. ONE.
And you already gave … a chance away … because you didn’t want to give me the satisfaction of letting it end on my terms? Why do you care about my satisfaction? Why do you care … about being a prisoner or free of my games? Why do you care about my terms? Why do you still care when the end of the tunnel … is this?”
Golden holds up the FWA World Championship in front of Peacock’s eyes.
Devin Golden: “You still care about me, Chris, and it’ll be your downfall.”
Peacock shakes his head more, a tear welling up in his eye. He speaks softly, almost stuttering… “You’re wrong.”
Devin Golden: “Let's say you beat me at Back in Town and win the World Championship. Alright! You did it! You beat Devin Golden! You really stuck it to me! You got the moment you wanted against me."
Golden’s eyes widen as he tries to illustrate his point.
Devin Golden: "What now? What after that, huh? You're the World Champion! There will be people breathing down your neck. Michelle is coming. Alyster is coming. Danny Toner is coming. Cyrus is coming. An unknown, nameless face is coming. How will you be able to withstand them … when the reason you got here in the first place is so … much about … me? When the reason you got here is so … so …
hollow?”
The tear falls down Peacock’s face. He was not expecting this. He had not thought about this. He drops his head down to look at the mat. Golden gets in even closer, bending slightly to speak into Peacock’s face.
Devin Golden: “How will you stay the best … NUMBER ONE … when you didn’t even do it for yourself?”
The crowd are still deathly silent, hanging on every word of the FWA World Champion.
Devin Golden: “Chris Peacock … maybe you beat me at Back in Town. Maybe you don’t. But don’t be a stereotype. Don’t be that stereotypical wrestler who REALLY WANTS TO HURT THEIR OPPONENT! Don’t be that guy who wants to murder someone. Don’t be another Michael Garcia. Don’t be a stereotype.”
THAT gets a big reaction from the FWA fans and Peacock’s head snaps up and he goes face-to-face with Golden with the two of them separated by an inch.
Devin Golden: “It’s not about … me. It can’t be … about me … when Back in Town comes around.
If it is … if you still care the most about me … about hurting me … whether you beat me or not … whether you retire me … or not, Chris …
Whether you send me to my death … or not …
You will have already lost.
I would know … because I’ve won time … and time … and time … again.”
Golden backs away from Peacock, who remains standing in the same spot. ‘Zombie’ plays once again and the two men who will face off for the FWA World Championship in Denver maintain eye contact until Golden reaches the ropes, where he exits the ring.
Rod Sterling: “Strong, strong words from the FWA World Champion to his challenger, Chris Peacock.”
Christian Quinn: “Strong? What you just witnessed was the verbal decimation of Chris Peacock! There are people that honestly think this guy has what it takes to become the FWA World Champion? He’s got no idea what he’s let himself into.”
Daniella Kennedy: “The mind game are truly underway-”
Christian Quinn: “No, Daniella. That wasn’t an attempt at mind games from Devin Golden. He spoke clear facts. Chris Peacock does not have what it takes to win that title because he lacks the mentality of a champion. That’s why he couldn’t hack having the truth spoken to him.”
Rod Sterling: “Well, Chris Peacock will have to pull himself together tonight before he leads his team out against Devin Golden’s but you have to wonder what kind of headspace Chris Peacock is going to be in heading into that match.”
As Devin Golden turns around and walks back through the curtain, Chris Peacock is left in the ring alone with nothing other than his thoughts. With his head dropped down, he goes to leave the ring without his briefcase, before he turns back and retrieves it from the mat.

There’s a mixed reaction in Athens as Michelle von Horrowitz walks out onto the stage, her championship belt on her shoulder and a little back-up flanking her from either side. Uncle J.J. JAY! stands to her left, and on her right is Thomas West. She looks at each of them, wordlessly, and then walks down towards the ring.
Kurt Harrington: "Ladies and gentlemen… the following contest is scheduled for one-fall…"
ONE-FALL!
Kurt Harrington: "… with a sixty minute time limit, and is a F1 Climaxxx semi-final match! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Uncle J.J. JAY! and Thomas West… representing Cthulhu's Nephews… from Rotterdam in the Netherlands, weighing in at fifty four kilograms… she is one half of the FWA World Tag Team Champions… ‘Dreamer’... Michelle… von… HORROWITZ!"
Rod Sterling: "Michelle von Horrowitz just barely progressed to this semi-final stage last week on Fallout 025, and she needed the help of quite a few of Cthulhu’s Nephews in order to do so. Eventually, she triumphed over Tommy Bedlam thanks to a quickly counted three by Uncle J.J. JAY!, after match official DJ Franchise was incapacitated."
Daniella Kennedy: "Incapacitated… by Michelle herself, and intentionally so. The Nephews stretched the rules by as much as they would stretch last week, and I was surprised not to see Jon Russnow act about the circumstances surrounding that - in inverted commas - win. He told his business partner Jean-Luc Watkins, who fortunately is absent from the commentary booth tonight, that his hands were tied, whatever that means."
Christian Quinn: "What that means is that MvH is here in the semi-finals, regardless of the nature of her win. The Nephews have been at von Horrowitz’s side for almost all of her matches in the tournament, with the only exception being her loss to Alyster Black. That’s her only loss of the tournament thus far, and Dreamer won’t want a repeat of that here in the knockout stages. Which accounts for the back-up she’s brought with her tonight in Athens."
All three of the Nephews present - Michelle, Uncle, and Thomas - climb into the ring, with Dreamer sitting down in the corner with her head against the second turnbuckle. West and Uncle stand either side of her, loosening up and staring down the ramp as her music fades out. It’s replaced by…

The reaction is negative as Bryan Baxter walks out onto the stage with Bill Scorpane is negative, but the big man has a look of focus on his face as he stares down the ring at opponent. He doesn't pause upon the stage at all, instead electing to stride down the ramp with Michelle in his sights.
Kurt Harrington: "And introducing her opponent… accompanied to the ring by Bill Scorpane… from Hickory, North Carolina, he weighs in tonight at three hundred and twelve pounds… he is your FWA North American Champion… BRYAN BAAAAXTER!"
Rod Sterling: "What a run it has been for Bryan Baxter over the past five cycles of FWA action. Jackson, Rose, Peacock, Grayson, and Truth… all fell in the wake of Baxter and the unbelievable winning streak he's been on in singles competition."
Christian Quinn: "Indeed, Baxter is let to lose a one-on-one match-up here in the Fantasy Wrestling Alliance, and that perfect run in the F1 also saw him nab the North American Championship from Lizzie Rose. There's nobody with more momentum right now than the man on his way to the ring."
Daniella Kennedy: "That string of impressive wins and that newly won championship gold will no doubt sooth the pain somewhat of Baxter's recent turmoils involving Jeremy Best, the now estranged former friend that Bryan joined the FWA to team with. Those days now seem long behind Baxter, who sets his sights on challenging for the World Championship."
Rod Sterling: "He’s only two wins away from doing just that, Daniella. The meteoric rise of Bryan Baxter continues."
Baxter climbs into the ring, Scorpane electing to remain on the outside and clap on his charge from the floor. After Michelle pulls herself up to her feet using the top rope, West and Uncle also climb down onto the outside, von Horrowitz staring down the big man across the ring from her. Both competitors have a championship belt on their shoulders, the audience’s excitement growing for the oncoming champion versus champion match. Both of them pass their belts out to their representatives on the outside of the ring. The referee - not DJ Franchise, after the events of Fallout 025 - conducts his final checks, and then calls for the bell…The two step towards one another after momentarily circling, and Michelle throws up a hand as if she wants to start things off with a knuckle lock. Baxter hesitantly reciprocates: for good reason, it turns out, as MvH lashes out with a kick to the left knee as soon as their fingers are locked. Baxter is doubled over by the strike, and von Horrowitz fires off with a trio of quick forearms to the head (which she can now reach thanks to his reduced height). Bryan is backed up into the ropes, and MvH attempts to Irish whip him into the opposite set. Baxter hooks onto the top rope with the arm that Michelle isn't yanking on, and then drags her back towards him, lifting her over the top rope and onto the apron. MvH lands on her feet, and tries to throw another forearm into Baxter's head - but this time the big man is able to block it and fire back with a straight right of his own! Dreamer teeters on the apron, but Bryan catches her before she falls and then places her in a front facelock. He hoists her up, holding her in the air for a stalling vertical suplex!
Baxter gets up to derision from the crowd, who seem more in Michelle's corner than his despite not really being overly enamoured by either competitor. Bryan isn't too bothered by the boos, though, shaking them off and laying into Dreamer with a series of stomps, eventually helping her to her feet and then whipping her hard into the corner. Baxter follows her in with a clothesline, and then mounts the second turnbuckle to unload with some right hands from above. The crowd don't count along, instead only booing Baxter, and it's not really clear whether he makes it all the way to ten before he hops down again. Michelle stumbles out of the corner towards him, and Bryan doubles her over with a boot to the midsection before hoisting her up and hitting a buckle bomb!! Dreamer falls face first onto the mat, and Baxter quickly rolls her over and hooks the leg for the first pinfall attempt of the match…
ONE… TWO… NO!
Rod Sterling: "Michelle von Horrowitz forces the shoulder up at two, but Bryan Baxter has been able to dominate his much smaller opponent so far in this one."
Christian Quinn: "Using his size and strength to his advantage - would be stupid for the big man to do anything else. Michelle's got to find a way to deal with Baxter's power or this one will quickly get away from her…"
Whilst the commentators analyse his chosen gameplan, Baxter has slowed down the pace with a reverse chin lock. Von Horrowitz gradually fights up to her feet, first to her knees and then up to a vertical base, with Baxter transitioning into a side headlock. MvH backs him into the ropes, and causes separation when she throws BBB into the opposite set. Dreamer goes for a standing dropkick, but Bryan hooks onto the top rope with his arms to check his momentum. Michelle quickly scrambles up and turns towards Baxter… but he runs her over with a shoulder block! MvH thinks twice about climbing straight back up again, instead rolling under the bottom rope to the sanctuary of the outside. Baxter elects to wait for her on the inside with his hands on his hips, the official beginning a ten-count as she enters into a conversation with Uncle and Thomas. She nods her head at their inaudible words of wisdom from her teammates, before hopping up onto the apron when the referee has reached six. Baxter charges across at her, though, knocking her off the apron with what amounts to little more than a body check. Dreamer flies into the steel barricade after the impact, landing in a heap on the outside as the Nephews flock around her to check on her condition.
This time, Baxter climbs out of the ring, causing West and Uncle to disperse and back away and the official to have to restart his count. Bryan hoists Michelle up, Dreamer leaning against the barricade to support her weight, allowing Bryan to reel off a half-dozen knife edge chops before he whips her hard into the ring apron. Michelle stumbles towards Baxter and he hoists her up into powerbomb position again. It looks as though he’s going to drop her onto the apron, but - realising her peril - Dreamer begins to hit some desperation right hands to the top of Baxter’s dome… and then nails a hurricanrana on the outside! Michelle sucks in some hard-won lungfuls of oxygen on the outside, and then rolls back under the bottom rope, deciding to not follow up on the attack and hoping for a countout victory.
Baxter beats the count, though, sliding back into the ring when the referee is on nice. Dreamer has taken the opportunity to recuperate, though, and marches over to hit a trio of stomps to the back of the head as soon as BBB enters the ring. MvH then looks to be trying to grab the ankle, perhaps looking for an ankle lock, but Bryan rolls onto his back and then lashes out with a boot to the face. Baxter quickly scrambles up to his feet and charges at Michelle… who catches him with a small package!
ONE… TWO… T – NO!
Baxter kicks out, and does his best to get to his feet as quickly as he can, but Michelle is a little quicker and is able to hit him with a spin kick in the guy to double him over. She hits the ropes and puts him on his back with a swinging neckbreaker. Sensing the tide turning, Dreamer hoists BBB up to his feet and rocks him with alternating forearms and European uppercuts, succeeding in backing Baxter up into a set of turnbuckles. She takes him by the wrist and whips him into the opposite set, following him into the corner with a dropkick!
Rod Sterling: "MvH is picking up a head of steam here, and one would think she will try and increase the tempo of this match."
Christian Quinn: "And here she goes again… a second dropkick to the cornered Baxter! But the big man is still on his feet…"
Indeed, Baxter stumbles out into the middle of the ring but maintains his vertical base, even when Michelle hits him with a step-up enziguri! He is backed up into the ropes by it, though, and Dreamer charges off the opposite set, perhaps looking to clothesline Bryan over to the outside… only for the North American champion to duck beneath the attempt and hoist her over the ropes with a back body drop. Michelle lands on her feet on the apron, and when Baxter turns to face her she grabs him by the head and brings him down throat-first over the top rope. Bryan stumbles once more into the middle of the ring, turns to face Dreamer, and is finally taken over by a spring-board cross-body! Straight into the cover…
ONE… TWO… NO!
Baxter kicks out, and WITH AUTHORITY! He throws Michelle up and off him as if she was a barbell that has fallen on him, but she scrambles up again whilst he's still on his knees, and then puts him on his back again with a shining wizard!
Rod Sterling: "Now Michelle begins her ascent towards the top rope, but it appears there's a lot of fight left in Baxter. The big man is struggling up to his feet again."
Daniella Kennedy: "We know Michelle likes to use that 450 to put opponents away, and Baxter will be looking to avoid that at all costs. He's on his feet, and Michelle waits for him to turn around…"
Christian Quinn: "Jumping DDT!! Michelle plants Baxter on his head! And now she turns him over to hook the far leg…"
ONE… TWO… T – NO!
Baxter kicks out, but it’s with a lot less authority than less time, forcing the shoulder up off the mat. Von Horrowitz lifts him up again, rocking him once more into the ropes with a quartet of hard forearms. She takes him by the wrist and goes for another Irish whip across the ring, but Baxter reverses and sends von Horrowitz into the opposite set instead. Baxter tries to shake loose the cobwebs and winds up for a big discus lariat, but Michelle ducks beneath it… and then rolls him up with a school-boy! With BOTH LEGS on the ropes!" ONE… Scorpane rushes over and pushes Dreamer’s feet off the ropes! TWO… Which knocks Dreamer off balance enough for Baxter to throw the shoulder up! Daniella Kennedy: "Michelle von Horrowitz looking to cheat to win, but Bill Scorpane is having none of it!"Christian Quinn: "And MvH is actually admonishing the referee for not noticing Scorpane’s interruption! Michelle wants all of the assistance she can get, including from the man in black and white…"Michelle finally gets done chastising the poor official before turning back to Baxter. She grabs him by the hair and tries to help him up the rest of the way to his feet, but Bryan begins to fight out with rights and lefts to the gut. Before he can pick up enough momentum to turn the tides, though, Dreamer lifts a knee up into his midsection, again doubling Baxter over. Von Horrowitz applies the front face lock, and then appears to be trying to underhook both of his arms… but Bryan is too girthy! MvH can’t quite hook her fingers, and spends too long trying to manage this, and Baxter soon has enough wherewithal to drive Dreamer back into the corner. The impact with the turnbuckles causes her to lose her grip, and Baxter follows up by driving a shoulder into her ribs a half-dozen times before bringing her out of the corner with a Northern Lights suplex! Baxter bridges for the cover… ONE… TWO… NO! Thomas West, who is nearby and outside of the ring, reaches underneath it whilst Bryan is bridging and swipes his legs from under him, which allows Michelle to kick out. The referee doesn’t see it but Baxter feels it, and he spends a few moments shouting over the top rope at the podcast host on the outside. He doesn’t complain to the referee like MvH did, but the distraction of his anger at West causes him to lose focus on his opponent, who rises to her feet whilst the big man is locked in the dispute. Baxter eventually turns around as Dreamer propels herself towards him, connecting with a discus forearm! It causes Bryan to stumble backwards into the ropes, but he propels himself back at MvH in turn and wipes her out with a discus lariat!! Rod Sterling: "Both competitors hit their respective discus attacks, and both competitors are on the mat as a result!!"Christian Quinn: "The official starts a count towards ten, and - despite the animosity shown to both of these competitors at the start of this match - the crowd are up and willing them back to their feet!"Daniella Kennedy: "They don’t want this to end, Christian! And I can see why!"Christian Quinn: "We’re really bad commentators, aren’t we?"Daniella Kennedy: "I understand why they replaced us."Rod Sterling: "Speak for yourselves…"Meanwhile, Baxter and von Horrowitz both get to their feet when the referee has reached eight, and there’s a momentary stand-off in the middle of the ring… until MvH unleashes a gob-full of spit into Bryan Baxter’s face!! The audience gasp, and Baxter stands motionless for a moment, before he wipes the spit off his face… and then runs through Michelle with a clothesline!! Dreamer is turned inside out, but Baxter doesn’t go for the cover, instead hoisting her up and throwing her off the nearest set of ropes. Baxter hits the perpendicular set… and knocks her half-way across the ring with a HUGE pounce!! MvH rolls towards the ropes, and Baxter quickly strides over to her, perhaps now thinking about the cover. To no avail, though, because Uncle and Thomas grab Michelle by the wrists and pull her out of the ring! Michelle is on her knees on the outside, sucking in oxygen to try to recuperate, whilst the official berates Uncle and West. They walk in opposite directions with their hands held up, protesting their innocence, and the referee continues to tell Uncle off, considering him the undoubted ringleader. Baxter, meanwhile, climbs out of the ring to re-address Michelle… and with the official busy giving her stable-mate a talking to, she’s able to connect on Baxter with a vicious low blow!! And then she hurls him shoulder first into the steel ring post!! As the official begins a ten-count, Dreamer lifts Baxter up and throws him under the bottom rope. She hops up onto the apron as Bryan rolls towards the middle of the ring, before springboarding off the top rope and goes for a frogsplash… but Baxter gets the knees up! MvH hits them with her ribs and skids off and across the ring, giving Bryan a few moments to get to his feet and recuperate. MvH is eventually up too, and she charges at Baxter for a busaiku knee kick account… sidestepped by Baxter, and then a reverse STO! Michelle hits the mat face-first, but Baxter doesn’t go for a cover just yet, stalking her from behind as she climbs… Rod Sterling: "Kick to the midsection by Baxter… he hoists her up… SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB!! High impact! That's gotta be it!"ONE… TWO… THR – NO! Christian Quinn: "Kickout from Michelle! We've seen through the years that MvH balances out her willingness to bend the rules with extraordinary resilience… a combination that gives her a maybe unparalleled will to win!"Daniella Kennedy: "But after that devastating manoeuvre from Bryan Baxter, the North American Champion finds himself in complete control!!"Indeed, Baxter is able to slow things down to his pace again, and once more waits in the corner, willing Michelle back to her feet. She rises eventually, but seems dead on her feet as she turns around to face Bryan again. He is waiting for her, and lifts her into a fireman's carry… Rod Sterling: "Bryan Baxter looking for Bottom of the Barrel here!"Daniella Kennedy: "If he hits that powerslam, this one's over!!"Christian Quinn: "Dreamer knows that, too, and she's fighting out with elbow strikes to the side of the head…"Baxter is forced to drop Michelle, who winds up for a second discus forearm… but this one is blocked by Baxter, who fights back with a MASSIVE headbutt! Dreamer is rocked, and Baxter collects her in a front facelock before hoisting her up in vertical suplex position… Rod Sterling: "Baxter changes tact! He's going for the Baxter Driver!"Daniella Kennedy: ”If he hits that piledriver, this one's OVER!"Christian Quinn: "There's still fight left in Dreamer! She drives her knee down onto the top of Baxter's head!!"Again, Baxter relinquishes his carry, and Michelle drops behind. She continues to the ropes, and Baxter turns around to eat a busaiku knee kick!!! Rod Sterling: "Both competitors are down again! The referee once more starts to count towards ten!"Christian Quinn: "If neither is able to answer the count, are we getting an impromptu final tonight between Black or Truth?!"That question remains unanswered, as Thomas West hops up onto the apron. He looks as though he's going to climb into the ring, too, but immediately the official is over to try and block his path. West remains on the apron, but monopolises the referee's attention… Which causes enough a distraction for not one, but TWO sets of knucks to be slid into the ring! From one side of the ring, Scorpane slides the familiar brass knucks to Baxter. Meanwhile, Uncle produces a gift of his own, pushing a gold and metallic set in towards Dreamer… Both competitors pick up the weapons they've been awarded, and there seems - for some as-yet inexplicable reason, given his opponent - a moment of hesitation on Baxter's face. More than a moment… Rod Sterling: "We've seen Baxter use those brass knucks on numerous occasions during this F1 tournament, but there seems some trepidation here…"Eventually, Baxter puts the brass knucks on. He nods to himself, as if he's working up the courage, and then he turns to face Michelle… but the moment has escaped him, for there was no such hesitation for Dreamer! She immediately puts on Uncle's gift and, after waiting patiently for Baxter to turn around and face her, cracks open his skull with a straight right hand to the dome! He's taken by surprise and knocked down off his feet. Michelle throws the gold knucks to Uncle outside the ring, and after one more angry and dramatic word at the official Thomas relinquishes him and climbs down from the apron. The referee turns around as Michelle is already climbing towards the top rope… Christian Quinn: "I think Bryan Baxter might be out cold here, guys! I’m not sure this is necessary…"Rod Sterling: "Insult to injury, Christian…"Daniella Kennedy: "450 SPLASH!!"Michelle hooks the far leg. ONE… TWO… THREE! {RESULT}Winner: Michelle von Horrowitz by pinfall in 16:02. MvH climbs off Bryan Baxter, the camera picking up the blood coming from his forehead, and allows the official to lift her hand in recognition of her victory. Kurt Harrington: "Here is your winner… Michelle von Horrowitz!"MvH snatches her hand away as Uncle and Thomas arrive in the ring. West is holding her FWA World Tag Team Championship belt, which he hands over to Dreamer with a warm smile. The two Nephews lift Michelle up onto their shoulders, the mixed reaction from the crowd hardly dampening their spirits as they parade her around the ring. Rod Sterling: "Once more Michelle von Horrowitz bends the rules to pick up a win and progress here in the F1 Climaxxx… but this time against an opponent that was only slightly less willing to bend those same rules himself."Christian Quinn: "The important thing is that MvH does progress in the tournament at the expense of Bryan Baxter, and now she will face either Alyster Black or Cyrus Truth in Back in Town’s final."Daniella Kennedy: "Will it be a chance to gain vengeance for her only loss thus far in the F1, or a meeting with a familiar, old rival? We’ll find out in tonight’s main event."With Uncle and Thomas setting Michelle down in the middle of the ring on our screen, we fade away from the scene. We cut back from the commercial break to the sight of everybody's favourite idiot, Lizzie Rose, who’s hunched over a notepad with a pencil in her mouth and a look of utter focus on her face as she scribbles various things on it. Thanks to the magic of everyone's favourite non-explained trope, the invisible silent ninja cameraman, we're able to see over her shoulder and catch a glimpse at what she’s working on. "CHARITY STREAM IDEAS;" -Trying on different hats. -Colouring in. -Asking REALLY nicely for Money. -Flamingo World. ..... Just then, the tiny little dynamo Joe Burr hops into the room Joe Burr: "Sup Liz, whatcha up to?Lizzie Rose: "Nothin' really, just working on ideas for that whole charity stream I was gonna do that got delayed. What do you think?”Joe Burr: "....Um, what's Flamingo World?"Lizzie Rose: "I woke up screaming from a nightmare and in a sweat covered daze I wrote down Flamingo World. No idea why..."Joe Burr: "Probably not that then... Why was that whole thing delayed?"Lizzie Rose: “Well I tried to get it up for New Year, but I glued my head to the wall!"Joe Burr: "...Again?Lizzie Rose: "Well, I didn't mean to…but...things just happen sometimes, you know?"Joe Burr: "No one else makes a habit of gluing their heads to the wall."???: “U-um, excuse me…”Lizzie and Joe turns to face the owner of the timid voice, with the camera once again following suit. We are greeted with the sight of one of FWA’s newest fighters, Bellatrix Bordeaux, who’s wearing her in-ring attire. Despite being dressed as though she’s battle-ready, the look on her face tells a different story. Her face looks pale, far paler than usual, and her eyes look as though they have a great deal of worry inside. Lizzie, polite as ever, greets the nervous-looking new girl. Lizzie Rose: “Oh, hello! HI! I'M LIZZIE! Can I help you? You don’t look so good…oh wait, I don’t mean that you look ugly or anything!... It’s just that…you don’t…look so good…”Bellatrix Bordeaux: “Oh, uh…h-hi miss Lizzie, my name’s Trixie…”The ill looking young woman responds politely, before continuing. Bellatrix Bordeaux: “Um, d-do you or your friend know where the potty is?”Joe Burr: "Ehhh...."Lizzie Rose: “The potty? Umm, I’m not sure…is everything alright?”Bellatrix Bordeaux: “I-I think I’m gonna puke…I really need to find th-”Before she could finish her sentence, Trixie’s cheeks fill and her hands shoot to her mouth. There’s a brief pause, as Trixie attempts to hold back whatever she had for lunch, and this pause allows Lizzie and Joe enough time to dive out of the way, with Lizzie accidentally dropping her notepad in the process… …the notepad was ruined. The camera turned away just in time for us to avoid having to see the onslaught of vomit, but it couldn’t stop us from hearing Trixie heaving her guts up, or the disgusting sploshing sound as Trixie’s lunch impacts the floor. After a few seconds, the disturbing noises stop and are replaced with that of Trixie attempting to catch her breath. Bravely, the cameraman turns to face the dotty young Bordeaux, trying his hardest not to capture the puddle of guts on the floor directly below her as she stands, hunched over, hands on her knees and trying to compose herself. Lizzie, having narrowly avoided taking a rather unpleasant shower, approaches Trixie from the side, not wanting to stand head-on for another possible attack. “The Rave” has a look on her face that reads “ew” as she speaks. Lizzie Rose: “Oh…wow. That’s…yeah…”She says, all the while trying to keep herself from vomiting at the sight of Trixie’s vomit. Lizzie Rose: “Y-you alright now? You let it all out?”Lizzie looks down and notices her drowned notepad and a look of horror forms on her face. Lizzie Rose: “MY THINKING BOOK! THAT WAS MY NOTE BOOK FOR THINKING! I ONLY HAVE SIX MORE JUST LIKE IT!”Trixie, still trying to compose herself, responds in a shaky voice. Bellatrix Bordeaux: “I-I’m s-s-sorry…I d-didn’t mean to-”Lizzie Rose: “Hey...It's cool....I could always just use my feeling notebook...or my anger note book...or my diary...there's at least three contenders"Lizzie responds, going to pat Trixie on the shoulder...but decides against it considering...you know...vomit... Lizzie Rose: “You think you’ll be alright now? You're not like dying are you? Because I should probably get a doctor then. Not that I'm trying to avoid you or anything, but if you die and I'm the only one in the room, people are probably going to suspect me...and I don't really want to spend time behind bars...I mean, I guess it wouldn't be TOO bad, I grew up around a LOT of people who spent some time behind bars, I think my Godfather escaped out of prison with a spoon and a rop-”Trixie takes a deep, gargled breath, clearly having some leftovers lodged in her throat, causing Lizzie to take avoiding action. Lizzie Rose: “...you good?”Bellatrix Bordeaux: “I…I think so…I’m r-really sorry about your book…maybe I can g-get you a new one?”Lizzie, clearly appreciating Trixie’s offer, chuckles before responding. Lizzie Rose: “Don’t worry about it…it only had some really bad ideas for a charity stream I’m planning anyway....and you know....all my hopes and dreams for the future, but who needs them right?”After a brief moment of silence, Lizzie’s eyes light up, as if someone had switched a lightbulb on in her brain. Lizzie Rose: “Hey, um…if you feel up to it, and don’t worry if you don’t, it’s just…I mean, that book did cost a lot of money…but don’t worry about that!…”Lizzie twiddles her thumbs as she attempts to navigate her way to an actual point. Lizzie Rose: “It’s just that…I’m trying to come up with a way to raise money for charity, and-”Joe Burr: “Ummmm...Lizzie can I speak to you about something important?”Lizzie's head whips around to regard Joe Burr, who vanished out of aim of Trixie's vomit and has now reappeared with a grim look on his face. Lizzie Rose: "Ok, like what? "Joe Burr: "Something in....private..."
Lizzie Rose: "....Ok...like what?"Joe Burr: ”Something, that I just want YOU. To hear, tag team stuff"
Lizzie Rose: "....Ok...."
"...."
".....like what?"
Joe Burr: "WOULD YOU JUST GET OVER HERE!"Joe frog marches his tag team partner over to the side away from Trixie and leans in and speaks in a conspiracy-like whisper. Joe Burr: "Do you know who you're speaking too?"Lizzie blinks a little at the somewhat odd question and turns her head over to Trixie, and gives her a long deep stare as if expecting someone else to be standing there, before turning back to Joe. Lizzie Rose: "Someone with a lot of issues with digestion?"
Joe Burr: "We're facing her! Tonight! Why are you getting involved with her? You have to fight her! And you want to start a charity stream with her?!"
Lizzie Rose: "She just walked in my room and started vomiting! I can't just...push her out...besides, she seems nice.”
Joe Burr: "Why do you always trust people you clearly shouldn't?”
Lizzie Rose: "What's that meant to mean?!"
Joe Burr: "Gabby."
Lizzie Rose: "Ok, that was an isolated incident."
Joe Burr: “Devin Golden"
Lizzie Rose: "Just because he's an incredibly violent sociopath with deep seeded delusions of the nature of reality doesn't mean our relationship is going to blow up-”
"...."
"Well I'm still helping Trixie"Lizzie turns back over and walks towards Trixie, who looks to be trying to gulp down a chunk of sick that’s lodged in her throat. Seeing this, Lizzie stops at a safe distance, before asking… Lizzie Rose: "What do you think of Flamingo World?”Trixie, having regained what little composure she usually has, responds with a confused expression on her still unhealthily pale face. Bellatrix Bordeaux: “Uh-...what’s a Flamingo?”Lizzie Rose: "Wha-...Have you never been to the zoo?! Brooklyn has a great one! I used to go there all the time...before I got banned…because of "The Incident". To be fair, they SAY Koolah bears are nice, but they're actually REALLY mean, and like to scratch! And THEY started it! IF YOU STEP TO ME I’M GONNA FIGHT BACK NO MATTER HOW CUTE YOU ARE! THEY DROPPED OUT OF A TREE, TRIXIE! THEY RAINED DOWN ON ME LIKE DEATH FROM ABOVE, IT WAS THE LAW OF THE JUNGLE MAN! EAT OR BE EATEN!"
"....."
"...what was the question again?"Trixie, her facial expression suggesting that she’s struggling to download the mass amounts of information being scattergunned towards her, attempts to respond. Bellatrix Bordeaux: “....”Joe Burr, keeping a safe distance of about 20 feet of the intruding vomit cannon, answers Trixie’s question. Joe Burr: “Birds.”
Lizzie Rose: "RIGHT…them guys. But listen, I'm trying to think of a good way to make money for children's charities around Brooklyn…you've heard of that place right? Best city in the world? No biggie. And you seem like a creative force...just by the way you vomit...got any ideas?"Trixie, who’s actually trying her hardest to keep up with everything that “The Rave” is spewing, takes a long…long moment, her face scrunching as she tries to think of an idea. Bellatrix Bordeaux: “....”Buffering… Bellatrix Bordeaux: “....”Still buffering… Joe Burr: “I think she’s about to blow up or somethin’.”As Lizzie and Joe look on confused and concerned, Trixie’s eyes light up as she begins to jump up and down excitedly, before yelling... Bellatrix Bordeaux: “BINGO!”The dotty young Bordeaux then leans forward and proceeds to whisper the idea in Lizzie's ear, with Lizzie grabbing her nose to block out Trixie’s vomit breath, as we abruptly fade to black. -CUT- A limousine arrives in the arena, it's white and Kayden Knox comes out of it. Kayden looks clean cut, not a hair on his face. He is holding the door open as Maxwell Lester comes out in a grey and tan suit. He adjust the collar on Kayden's shirt before patting him on the back. Maxwell Lester: ”Thank You Kayden. Now onto the business at hand.”FWA cameras try to get a word as Lester & Knox walk in the parking lot. Anzu Kurosawa: “Kayden, I wanted to get a minute to ask you to make sense of what’s been going on with you lately…”Maxwell Lester interrupts. Maxwell Lester: ”As it was said before any questions you want to ask Mr. Knox will go through my clients, myself and my law offices. We will answer any questions on our terms my dear and right now is not the time. We have business to attend to.”Lester turns to Knox and whispers something in his ear Kayden then takes off into the backstage area of the arena. The backstage Interviewer turns her attention back to Maxwell Lester. Maxwell Lester: ”Fine you know what, I'll give you a little scoop. I bet you're wondering where Kayden is off too, am I right?
“Well the sins of the father will be repayed by the son.
“Maxwell laughs before pulling a playing card with Kayden Knox on it made out to be the Joker card itself. He hands it to her before walking off.”A loud crash can be heard as the cameras now move over to a dressing room that reads Jean-Luc Watkins. Kayden is standing outside of it looking to kick it in. Maxwell Lester strolls over and smiles. He puts a hand on Knox’s shoulder to have him pause before knocking ever so gently on the door. Maxwell Lester: “Oh Little pig, little pig let me in.”Maxwell Lester laughs to himself before continuing to speak. Maxwell Lester: ”Don't make us huff and puff.”Maxwell attempts to open the door. It's still locked. Maxwell Lester: ”Mr. Knox, if you could so kindly open the door.”Kayden gets ready to kick the door in and just as he is about to break the hinges… the door opens but it's not Jean-Luc Watkins… Rod Sterling: "That's…"Christian Quinn: "He's back!!"Rod Sterling: "Mike Parr is here in Athens!!"The crowd erupts at the sight of The Prodigy!!! Rod Sterling: "We haven't seen Mike Parr in months! Not since he withdrew from the F1 Climaxxx back in week one of the pool stage…"Christian Quinn: "But he's here… and he's taking it to Kayden Knox!!"Mike Parr comes at Kayden with a right hand, and then another and another… grabbing Kayden by the back of his head and throwing him into the wall before going for a Superkick! Rod Sterling: "Mike Parr trying to take Kayden Knox’s head off… that’s his former Executive Excellence partner!”Daniella Kennedy: “Kayden ducks beneath it, but then takes an uppercut from the Prodigy! Knox is taken off his feet!”The Prodigy seems satisfied with his handiwork, and stands above Kayden Knox, his fists clenched at his side. He looks down at his former stable-mate with a look of disdain on his face. Rod Sterling: “God knows what all of this is about, or what would have happened to Jean-Luc Watkins if the Prodigy hadn’t been in his locker room!”Christian Quinn: “I can’t believe Mike Parr is back… but his return has only asked more questions than it’s answered…”Maxwell Lester pulls Kayden back to his feet, dragging him away from the looming Prodigy and telling his charge to walk away. Kayden looks on, almost accepting the fact that he probably deserved the attack. JLW, who has been leaning against the door frame whilst inspecting the damage caused by Knox’s knocking, finally walks out from the dressing room and stands by Parr's side, shaking his hand as Knox & Lester run like scalded dogs. Rod Sterling: “Moving right along we have a tag team match up next with heavy implications surrounding the TV Championship.”Daniella Kennedy: “That’s right, Rod. As of right now the TV Championship will be defended in a one on one affair between current champion Vampyra and challenger Shawn Summers, but that could all change after tonight if their opponents tonight walk out of here with the win.”Rod Sterling: “That’ll be easier said than done, Daniella. Not only do Summers and Vampyra not care about each other, but there’s some tension between their opposition as well following the actions last Fallout when Darius Wright assaulted Jason Randall after their match.”Christian Quinn: “Tension? That’s an understatement! I don’t see this going well with all involved, if I’m being honest.”Daniella Kennedy: “I’d have to agree with you there Christian, but for their sake I hope they can at least manage to get along long enough considering the implications.”{GO TO SLEEP || EMINEM FEAT. DMX & OBIE TRICE} Once the opening lyrics kick in, Jason Randall busts through the curtain and he walks out on stage. Randall pauses briefly to look out and then clutches at the brace on his right knee before walking down to the ring. Kurt Harrington: “Making his way down to the ring, from San Diego, California and weighing in at 234 lb…he is The Wildcard…Jason Randall!”Rod Sterling: “Take notice of that knee brace that Randall has on courtesy of Darius Wright’s post match attack on the last Fallout.”Daniella Kennedy: “He’s not one hundred but he’s been cleared for action tonight, but I don’t think anything was going to stop him from competing for this opportunity he’s been given.”Randall tosses aside his jacket and he gingerly paces around the ring as he awaits the arrival of his partner… And now we seem to have some electrical issues as the lights all around the arena flicker for a bit. Then they start shutting off from furthest sections to the ringside sections and stage. A few seconds of total darkness and then this plays on the arena sound system... {SCARED OF THE DARK || JEEZY} ..which brings out loud reactions from the audience as they wait for one of the darkest souls to make his way out to the stage. Once the intro to the song has played, the song begins and all of the lights are flickering in bright white to each word of the chorus. And finally the lights return to normal as The Dark Traveler, Darius Wright steps onto the stage in the tattered remains of what was once a casual jeans/t-shirt look. Kurt Harrington: “Introducing his tag team partner, from Los Angeles, California and weighing in at 243 lb…he is The Dark Traveler…Darius Wright!”Wright doesn’t get the chance to even walk down to the ring as Jason Randall sprints toward the entrance area and starts trading blows with Wright! Daniella Kennedy: “As if that knee brace wasn’t enough of a reminder, Randall certainly hasn’t forgotten what Wright did to him and he’s looking for some retaliation!”Christian Quinn: “I don’t blame him at all, Daniella! If I could and if that were me and I was being forced to team with that schmuck Chris Peacock, I wouldn’t pass on the opportunity to kick the crap out of him!”Rod Sterling: “Yeah, but you can’t because you can’t even walk properly!”Christian Quinn: “Way to kick a man when he’s down, Sterling! I said IF I could! Perhaps you should check your hearing there, old man!”More officials and security have arrived on the scene in an attempt to break up this scuffle between Randall and Wright. Both men are being held back by officials and security as Jon Russnow angrily walks out. Jon Russnow: “Hold up, hold up! You two are not going to be doing this right now! If you want that title shot, you need to play nice! You win, you get your shot. You lose, well that’s on you, but I’ll give you a consolation prize if it comes to that. In the meantime, please get along. After the match is over, then you two can rip each other apart, I don’t care!”Russnow stands between the two men and there’s some reluctance from both ends, but eventually there’s some sort of agreement. Randall brushes past everyone and walks back down to the ring, while Wright is slow to follow behind. Daniella Kennedy: “Fortunately, Jon Russnow has bought us some time and restored order for now, but we’ll see how long that will last.”{VAMPIRE || VERSAILLES} The dramatic opening to "Vampire" by Versailles plays and the lights of the arena dim. After about fifteen seconds, the camera zooms towards the entranceway as the lights start flashing different shades of purple, red, and pink. We see a masked woman, cape flowing behind her. Vampyra has arrived. Her hands are out with her elbows on her hips. Covering her regular mask for matches is a more elaborate entrance mask with horns. Hanging almost like a sash across her shoulder is the FWA Television Championship. Puffs of fire shoot up on both sides of the stage. Kurt Harrington: “Their opponents, first, representing MAYHEM's YOKAI Death Squad, from Osaka, Japan, the FWA Television Champion, the Dark Huntress, Vampyra!”Putting her hand down, the YOKAI Queen holds out three fingers to form an "M" then does a small throat slashing gesture with her pointer finger. She walks slowly down the ramp, once again putting her hands to her side. The fire on the stage continues to spark up occasionally, adding a glow in the arena. At the end of the ramp, Vampyra motions for the camera to come near here. She takes off her extra entrance mask, holding it in her hand. Vampyra shows a wicked smirk before doing another small throat slash and walking around the ring. Unclipping her cape, she slides onto the apron, taking her championship belt off of her shoulder to place it on the apron. Hooking her legs on the top she hangs upside down, arms crossed like a bat, placing her extra mask next to her. After a few moments, she swings herself into the ring, grabbing her FWA Television Championship. goes up to the corner turnbuckles. Putting one foot on the top rope, she does another "throat slash" with her finger, sticking out her tongue, before she puts down the MAYHEM "M" before holding up her championship belt. She jumps down as her theme music fades away. Going into her corner, she sits down, cross-legged, keeping calm as she clutches her championship title. {COLA || LANA DEL REY} Shawn slowly rises through the stage with his head down and eyes closed. The lights strobe between white and red to the drums of the song as fog rises underneath him. Shawn tilts his head up, his face void of emotion as the camera pans around him. He stands in place taking in the moment until the chorus of "Cola" kicks in. He begins to make his way down the ramp mouthing the words to the song, ignoring the hands and verbal assault from the fans as he does Kurt Harrington: “And her tag team partner, from Laguna Beach, California and weighing in at 225 lb…he is Der Basterd…Shawn Summers!”Halfway down the ramp, he takes a visual survey of the arena before slowly walking up the ring steps and slowly ascending the turnbuckle. His eyes closed his head tilted high - he's fully taking in the moment before hopping down into the ring. Shawn makes his way to his corner and crouches down as he awaits the signal of the bell from the referee. Rod Sterling: “Summers and Vampyra, unlike their opponents, not attacking each other and instead not paying each other any mind.”It looks like Summers will be allowing Vamprya to start the match for her team while it’ll be Randall kicking it off for his team. The referee for the match, Gracelynn Guerrero, does her last minute checks before signaling for the bell… DING! DING! DING!Shawn Summers hops off the apron just as Vamprya turns to him and Summers can be heard saying “You’ve got this!” Daniella Kennedy: “It appears that Shawn Summers will not be taking part in this match, I don’t know if this is wise but I also wouldn’t expect anything less from a man like Shawn Summers.”Rod Sterling: “I presume Summers has some type of trick up his sleeve, but I can’t think of any reasonable explanation as to why he would want to sabotage this match.”Vampyra doesn’t seem so surprised, but that doesn’t make her any less disappointed as she shakes her head at him and curses at him in Japanese before she’s drilled from behind by Randall! Vampyra goes down and Randall drives down stomps to her back. Randall takes her by the arms in a surfboard position, and delivers repeated curb stomps to Vampyra! Vampyra’s limp carcass falls to the canvas, but she’s not down for long as she slowly reaches out for the bottom rope with Summers mockingly cheering her on from ringside yet Randall yanks her away before she gets a hold of the rope. Randall now has her position and looks at Summers and says, “This is going to be you next!” and Randall drives down hammer and anvil elbows to Vampyra. Randall shoves Vampyra aside and she goes limp as she hits the mat. Randall has his attention set on Summers and he’s egging on Summers. Rod Sterling: “Randall is trying to goad Summers into getting involved, but Summers wants no part in it.”Daniella Kennedy: “Summers proving that he’s all bark and no bite!”Christian Quinn: “Don’t let him catch wind of you saying that, Daniella!”Daniella Kennedy: “Oh yeah, what will he do, Christian? Call me out on Twitter? That’s all he seems to be good at these days is being a keyboard warrior!”Randall doesn’t quit in his attempts to goad Summers into entering the match, and eventually he realizes his attempts are fruitless. Randall returns his attention back to Vampyra and he begins to bring her up in a front facelock, but Vampyra counters with a jawbreaker that stuns Randall! Randall is staggered but he shakes it off and charges toward Vampyra only to get a roundhouse kick to the head for his troubles! Randall is stunned again and Vampyra unloads on him with several forearm strikes before she sends him to the corner with an irish whip. Randall hits his team’s corner, which allows Darius Wright to tag himself in, unbeknownst to Vampyra who is on the opposite end of the ring dealing with Summers taunting her. Vampyra does her best to ignore Summers’ trash talk as she turns around and charges toward Randall in the corner, but she’s cut off by Wright with a running lariat! Vampyra shakes it off however and gets back to a vertical base, but not for long as Wright takes her down with another running lariat! Vampyra refuses to stay down though, but this time she’s much slower to her feet. Wright shakes his head and levels her again with a third running lariat! This time Vampyra stays down and Wright drops down for the pin… One…two…THREE-NO! Wright brings Vampyra up after she gets a shoulder up and he tosses her into the corner. There, Wright unloads on her with multiple jabs to her head, chest, and stomach. Randall tags himself in, and this time Wright isn’t pleased about that. Wright glares at Randall and the two have a brief standoff before referee Guerrero gets Wright back on the apron. Randall returns his attention back to Vampyra and drives down repeated stomps in the corner until she’s slumped down. Randall backs up before he lines Vampyra up in his sights, and he runs toward her with his knee but just in time she’s able to move out of the way and Randall hits his already injured knee hard on the bottom buckle! Randall is nursing his knee when Wright tags himself back in, much to Randall’s chagrin. Wright drags Vampyra away from the ropes, and he brings her up but she kicks him away. Vampyra goes for a roundhouse kick on Wright, but he catches her by the boot yet before he can take her down she counters with a spinning enziguri! Wright, stunned, releases his grip on her boot and he drops to a knee. Vampyra connects with a roundhouse kick! She takes the dazed Wright and plants him face first to the canvas with a snap DDT! She drapes her arm over him for the cover… One…two…NO! While this has been going on, Shawn Summers has returned to the apron, and he’s reaching out for the tag. Vampyra doesn’t know what to make of it, she’s not even sure she should trust him. Eventually she leaps over for the tag, but just as she does so, Summers nonchalantly hops right back off the apron and he laughs at Vampyra. Vampyra has had enough of Summers’ antics, so she reaches over the ropes and grabs him by his hair while his back is turned and she pulls him back on the apron. Just as this is happening, Wright has come to, and he makes a beeline for Vampyra, who senses danger and moves out of the way just in time for Wright to strike Summers with a big boot that knocks Summers off the apron and to the floor! Wright is caught in the ropes however, and Vampyra takes advantage of this with a roll-up from behind! One…two…THREE-NO! Wright kicks out and rolls through as he hops back up to his feet, but he’s kicked by a dropkick from Vampyra! Wright is sent flying back into his corner, and Randall tags himself in. Randall rushes in but he steps wrong on his knee and that causes him to drop to a knee. However, he powers through the pain he’s experiencing, and rises up but Vampyra kicks him back with another running dropkick! Randall falls back onto his partner in the corner, and Vampyra has them sized up and she connects with a running splash! Randall falls forward to the mat but Wright is remaining in the corner, which allows Vampyra to hit the running doubles knees to Wright! Vampyra turns her attention back to Randall, and grabs him in a rear waistlock before dropping him with a bridging german suplex! One…two…THREE- NO! Daniella Kennedy: “Wright breaks it up!”Rod Sterling: “For this essentially becoming a handicap match that’s not in her favor, she’s doing well in holding her own!”Randall rolls over on his side and he moves to the apron for a reprieve. Vampyra shakes off being stomped on by Wright before she rises up, and she makes her way over to Randall, who is on the apron still and Randall knocks her back with a forearm. Randall re-enters the ring and drives a boot to her midsection before hitting the Wildcard Special! Vampyra rolls away to the opposite end of the ring in agony while Randalls squares her up and he’s locked in on her for his Kill-Shot running knee, but Wright tags himself in. Randall is irate and he shoves Wright back. The two men begin to argue before the referee has to separate them. Randall begrudgingly returns to his corner, and Wright turns around right into a springboard crossbody! Vampyra has him where she wants him and she begins her ascent to the top as she’s looking to end it with Nightfall…but Shawn Summers tags himself in! Daniella Kennedy: “Again, I would expect nothing less from Shawn Summers! He has to take all the glory for himself after Vampyra did all the heavy lifting!”Christian Quinn: “It’s a pretty smart strategy if you ask me.”Daniella Kennedy: “Yeah, well good thing no one asked you!”Vampyra is gobsmacked by this turn of events and just as she’s about to hop down to the apron she’s knocked off and crashes to the outside after Summers bumps her when he’s hit with Wright’s running high knee The Wright Way! Daniella Kennedy: “Vampyra with a nasty spill to the outside!”Wright takes Summers in and lifts him up for Dark Cloud, but Summers flips out behind Wright and shoves him sternum first into the turnbuckle! Wright hits the turnbuckle and stumbles backward into a deadlift bridging german suplex from Summers! One…two…THREE-NO! Wright kicks out! Summers is fired up now and he looks out at ringside where Vampyra is still out. Summers then bumps Randall off the apron, knocking him to the outside. Summers then turns his attention back to Wright, who is back on his feet and Summers goes for a boot to the midsection but Wright catches it and counters with Sweet Revenge! Dragon whip to Summers, who struggles back to his feet after that exchange, and as he does get up he’s met with a spinning back kick to the midsection…DARK CLOUD! Dominator to Summers! Wright drops for the pin… One…two…THREE! {RESULT}Winners: Darius Wright & Jason Randall by pin fall in 14:37 Kurt Harrington: “The winners of the match, the team Darius Wright and Jason Randall!”Rod Sterling: “Well, it looks like we’ll be having ourselves a fatal four way for the TV Championship at Back in Town now!”Christian Quinn: “Why did Vampyra hesitate to make the save before Randall stopped her?!”Daniella Kennedy: “It couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy if you ask me!”Summers has rolled out of the ring, clutching at his ribs while hurling obscenities at Vampyra, who is being helped to her feet. Summers shoves Vamprya and there’s a scuffle between them before it’s broken up. Meanwhile, back in the ring, Wright has his arm raised but he doesn’t get to relish in the victory for long as he’s spun around by Randall…kick to the gut…SNAKE EYES! Stunner to Wright! Randall flips the now downed Wright the double bird before exiting the ring while Summers continues to berate Vampyra as they’re still being held back from each other. Rod Sterling: “Randall got his taste of retaliation on Darius Wright, but he’ll have to wait to finish the job at Back in Town, as well as contend with Summers and Vampyra. Anyway, we have more action coming your way fans, so be sure to stay tuned!”The show makes its way back to Lizzie’s locker room, where we see Lizzie, Trixie and J-OH MY GOD; EVERYTHING IS ON FIRE-! Lizzie, her bright red hair mattered and fuzzy as though a bomb went off in her face, looks on in utter shock, frozen to the spot as Joe Burr stands beside her, in the same condition as his soon to be tag patner…Trixie, however, bolts into action. After a moment’s hesitation as she thinks of a solution, Trixie darts out of the room and returns almost immediately with a fire extinguisher in hand. She dives heroically in front of Lizzie and Joe, before pointing the nozzle at the bonfire…nothing happens. Confused and in a panic, Trixie begins to shake the extinguisher aggressively, trying to will the magic fire-putter-outter to do it’s job, but to no avail. Bellatrix Bordeaux: “WORK GOSH DARN YOU!”As she continues to struggle with the extremely complicated device, Lizzie reaches over and pulls the pin out and squeezes the handles together. Trixie, still with control of the nozzle, aims at the fire and after a good few moments and a great display of teamwork from two people who are scheduled to fight each other later on, the fire is eventually put out. …Lizzie and Trixie both let go of the extinguisher, dropping it to the floor as they, along with Joe Burr, stares at the place where the now vanquished fire once was. After a moments silence, Lizzie speaks up. Lizzie Rose: “Wow, that idea really sounded better than it actually was, huh?"As Joe Burr stares into the distance, still in shock at what has transpired, a little smirk begins to form on the face of Trixie…a smirk that slowly grows into an excited smile, and moments later… Bellatrix Bordeaux: “HehehehehehehhahahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHA!”Joe and Lizzie both turn their heads to face Trixie, each sharing the same taken aback and slightly concerned expression as they watch Trixie, who at this point reeks to the heavens of smoke and vomit, as she keels over in a fit of laughter…and after a few moments, Lizzie can’t help but join in on the giggles, all the while Joe Burr, who looks severely uncomfortable as he watches the women laugh at accidentally committing arson, slowly backs away and makes his escape as the scene fades.
[EARLIER TONIGHT…]
Bag slung over his shoulder lazily, Mike Parr brushes his way past various backstage stagehands in making his way towards the parking lot and his transport away from Fight Night. One would assume through his demeanor that it was fairly obvious that he wasn’t in the mood to speak to anyone, but since when did people’s feelings get in the way of what is best for business? Having had little time to scramble, having just moments ago witnessed The Prodigy unexpectedly appear at Fight Night and take down Kayden Knox, there isn’t even an interviewer assigned to the chase. Timing is certainly what Mike, on reflection, would prefer to be, rather than the unnerving alternative that his stock has fallen so low that nobody really cares why he does what he does or who he does it to any longer. The camera work is clunky, as in the absence of the assigned interviewer, the operator has grabbed the most portable camera within a couple feet of him and made his way in the general direction that he thought The Prodigy might go, hoping to get the shot or even a quick soundbite that would earn him a moderate chance of a promotion from any supervisor that may be watching. Doesn’t look like that promotion is coming off of the back of this shot, however, as its just a rather rocky view of Prodigy dismissing people on either side of him, defiantly not stopping for breath. If the operator’s promotion is out of the question, he might have a funny video to go viral as one caterer showers herself with a tray full of juices trying to get out of Mike’s way. Parr extends his hand and clasps the level before tugging at this desired exit, the door remaining static. Locked. A short pause, and an audible sigh, before he sharply creaks his head right over his shoulder back towards the camera now in his face, his right eye piercing down the lens with his unkempt hair drooping down over his eyebrows. Mike Parr: “What?” The question to the camera operative is succinct yet requires no further elaboration to extract the meaning behind it. Pick any of the available options and they probably fit; what do you want? What do you think is going to happen by following me? What is this disrespect? None of these are particularly promising outcomes for the operative, a slight quiver now visible as his hand holding the camera shakes. Mike Parr: “F**k it, I suppose it wasn’t what I had planned.” Mike rotates his body to follow his aforementioned neck crank, so he is now facing down the camera lens in front of him. Mike Parr: “For the benefit of anyone who can hear me right now, you’ve got until I’ve finished speaking to find me a fast way to the parking garage from here, otherwise I’ll negotiate an exit that isn’t to be pleasant for anyone around me. For the benefit of anyone watching this little video, whenever it goes out, because lord knows you haven’t got the bollocks broadcast it live not knowing what the hell I’m going to say….I’m back.”Parr takes a pause, usually that point in time where you would wait for a crowd response, but you get the impression that he isn’t particularly interested in that right now. Mike Parr: “I would ask if anyone missed me, but I think it’s painfully obvious that it isn’t the case. And you know what? Shame on you all. That says far more about you than it does me. Someone who has stayed here for the better part of a decade suddenly drops off the face of the FWA planet with barely a whimper and there’s barely one person that gives enough of a shit to question it? You’re all too busy fangirling over Lizzie Rose, becoming enamored with Devin Golden’s drawn out and never-f***ing-ending goodbye, or becoming attached to your new little plaything like Vampyra. Shame. On. You.” You can tell Parr is irritated by the lack of outreach, not something you would’ve anticipated from someone notoriously very happy being his own only friend at times. Mike Parr: “We are all just too willing to accept the narrative put out there, that I lost my smile? Does that even sound like me? Anyone hoping to know where I’ve been or what I’ve been doing, I’ll save you the hassle of continuing to listen and you can turn off now. When I want to address that, I will. The only thing that I want to address right now, right here, is Kayden Knox.” Parr bites his lip, unconsciously showing his frustration at even muttering his name. Mike Parr: “There probably isn’t a single person listening to me right now that can dispute that Kayden Knox got exactly what he deserved earlier tonight. I didn’t have a smile to really lose, but when I sat at home and saw Kayden Knox, any smile that I didn’t have was lost as my jaw hit the f**king floor. Executive Excellence is a story for another time, but that group was doomed to failure trying to carry the dead weight of Kayden Knox. You had one job, kid. I might have indicated that the particular job was to not lose the tag team championship but that job was to not suffocate Gabrielle as she tried lug your dead weight while trying to unlock whatever potential she saw in you. You were part of the package that I was willing to tolerate for the greater good, but only as I started to lose to Alyster Black and Lizzie Rose did I begin to realize that you were contagious. I had to get, get cleansed, get rid of the stench. You were bringing me down to your level Kayden, and mediocrity is just not something I can tolerate.” Behind Parr, one of the stagehands is working on wedging open the door to allow Mike to exit the building. Ironically, at this very second, it feels like Prodigy is letting out a couple months’ frustration and is no longer in any hurry to go anywhere. Mike Parr: “I stepped away and whilst I wouldn’t have called it a retirement, I would not have been shocked if I didn’t come back. But…you, Kayden, I just couldn’t tolerate it. After I see what you did to Gabrielle, see how you started to behave, I knew that you needed a lesson that maybe Gabrielle in the end didn’t have the heart to teach you. I don’t have Gabrielle’s heart, Kayden. Cut me open, look inside, and you’re just going to see a dark pit of pent up anger and unchanneled rage where that heart should be. Part of me wants to thank you, because that anger and that rage plugged a hole that I needed to fill before I felt in a suitable place to come back here and represent who I am to the ability that I have. The other part of me though, Kayden, unfortunately for you, wants to try maim you. If tonight didn’t make it abundantly clear exactly which part of me is winning that battle, then you are in even more trouble that I initially realized.” The door behind Mike is finally released, a cool breeze sweeps into the surrounding area and a collective sigh of relief from everyone that may have been in Parr’s firing line fills the next couple of seconds of time. Mike Parr: “Unfortunately for everyone, whilst I’ve got a plane to catch right now, I’ve also got one chartered to where The Prodigy Mike Parr will be ‘Back in Town’. And when he is, he wants to be standing across the ring from Kayden Knox, one on one. I may have gone out without barely a whimper, but I’m about to come back with an almighty f***ing bang. Kayden, see you then. FWA, see you soon.” In what could be considered somewhat patronizing, Mike pats the camera operator on the head for a job well done, before swiveling and making his desired exit for this evening, leaving behind the question as to whether FWA management or Kayden Knox will accept the proposal. An answer, one would assume, we would get before the show closes. We go backstage! Lovely chaotic atmosphere as always but the camera decides to go inside one of the locker rooms to focus on one specific person, sitting in the corner with headphones in his ears. You can hear slight tones of Paramore as The British Apprentice, Reagan Cole sits on the cold ground with his hands on his bent knees, ring attire on as he is presumably busy getting into "Fighter mode" or whatever you wanna call it ahead of the big 10 man tag match tonight. All this before he is suddenly distracted by the asshole walking into the locker room. Jeffry Mason: "Hey bud."Reagan just sits there, staring directly at the man who has made his life hell for so long and is also the man who Reagan has agreed to join in his conquest. Jeffry Mason: "What are you liste-?"Reagan Cole: "What do you want, Jeffry?"Jeffry Mason: "Woah, woah calm down your horses there, it’s just that we haven’t talked since you joined our illustrious group so thought I might just drop by and see how you were doing."Reagan Cole: "I’m doing terribly actually, Jeffry. I am not allowed in my home, my marriage is currently going down the shitter, my best friend still hates my guts and oh I wonder whose fault all of that is, Jeffry?!"Reagan at this point has stood himself up and here’s the classic "If looks could kill" line, as a hole is being burned into Jeffry who just smirks. Reagan Cole: "Just because I’m now in this cult or whatever. Doesn’t mean I’m your friend or I ever want to be your friend, I’m only doing this for my family. That’s it."Jeffry keeps his smirk on his face. Jeffry Mason: "Still blaming everyone else but yourself huh? And I thought you learned. I do have a job for you though for tonight. It’s about one of the people you’re sharing the ring with."Reagan Cole: "Yeah, that narrows it right fucking down."Jeffry Mason: "Alright, calm down with the sass already, My God."Jeffry shows his phone to Reagan, showing the picture of the person Jeffry is talking about. Reagan’s face doesn’t react much at the picture, just a long heavy breath through the nose. Reagan Cole: "What the fuck do you want with them?"Jeffry Mason: "Nothing much. Just want to test something, maybe attack them a bit, see what they do. Now I’m not saying injure them by any means, no, of course not. You’ve caused enough injuries. Just….see if something clicks in their little brain of theirs."Reagan Cole: "…."Jeffry Mason: "What? Are you going to tell me that she’s just a kid? You know how much of a fighter, a little kid can be. Have fun with it, TYLER and I are going to go to a local taverna and get some moussaka because I’m feeling peckish."Reagan says nothing in response as Jeffry moves to the door before he can’t help himself not to get one more thing in. Jeffry Mason: "Oh and maybe don’t disappoint me this time, your match last week was a little short for my liking. All I’m asking is that your team at least stretches it out a little bit this time."And just like that, Jeffry leaves as Reagan stays locked with his feelings of pure frustration on his face as he ponders just what Jeffry is planning. Fight Night backstage interviewer Todd Salum is standing by The Connection, Michelle von Horrowitz and Gerald Grayson. Michelle looks a bit worn down after her match with Bryan Baxter earlier on the show while Grayson looks more rested. Both of them holding their titles, Grayson has his over his shoulder while Michelle holds hers in one hand by the strap. Todd Salum: “I’m standing by with The Connection, and first off Michelle, congratulations on your win earlier tonight over Bryan Baxter.. albeit through nefarious means, as we’ve come to expect. Now, with that out of the way, you and Gerald change your focus toward Back in Town where you face the challenge for those titles against a rather formidable tag team, The Undisputed Alliance…”However, before Todd can finish, he’s interrupted by some clapping off camera. Soon enough, Jackson Fenix and Nate Savage join the champs and Todd. Savage is the one doing the mock clapping while Fenix has his usual dumb, arrogant smirk on his face. Jackson Fenix: “Yeah, congratulations tulip. Hey Todd, what’s that word you said about us?”
Todd Salum: “Formidable?”
Jackson Fenix: “Yeah, that, what does that mean? You better not be insulting us!”
Nate Savage: “Jack, it means we’re to be feared. We’re an intimidating presence. In simple terms, it means that the champs should be afraid of us.”
Jackson Fenix: “Oh, yeah, you should definitely be scared. I can see them shaking in their little boots right now. Well, at least she is. He’s not wearing boots so I don’t know.”
Nate Savage: “Jack, would you forget about their footwear, please? Anyway, we just came to congratulate you on your win over that big dope Bryan Baxter, but we’d also like to warn you to not get used to winning. At least not at Back in Town, because if you think you’ll be walking out of Denver with those titles, well, then you’re as foolish as you look.”
Jackson Fenix: “That’s right, you heard the man! Enjoy your little victory right now, but in Denver it all ends. You can bring all those stupid little nephews or whoever to help you, but it won’t matter, right Nate?”Savage silently nods and Michelle motions for Todd to move the microphone over near her to allow her to retort. MvH: “Firstly, it’s Nephews. With a capital N.”Jackson Fenix: “How do you know that I spoke a lower case n?”MvH: “You shouldn’t underestimate what I know and what I can do, trog. Formidable, I can only guess, was on Todd’s word of the day toilet paper - and that he’s not a strong reader - for never has it been more inappropriately used than by our dear backstage interviewer a few moments ago. The Undisputed Alliance, who I had been aware of from afar without really having to sully myself by considering until our communal foray into Mile High Massacre, are only a couple of notches above an unamusing running joke, of which we already have far too many beneath the big tent. If not a joke, then what? Filler, maybe. Wherever there’s a gap on the card, you boys are there to fill it, like the dutiful little company dogs that you are. It’s such a shame, though, that the tag division is where it is, and these beautiful world championships are where such a gap is in Denver. Hardly the makings of a historic defense in a historic reign, is it, Gerald?”Grayson makes no response, but stares ahead at the Undisputed Alliance, wary of them as they scowl at Michelle. Todd Salum: “Michelle, you - along with your stable-mates in Cthulhu’s Nephews - have been accused by many online commentators of burying the tag team division over the past few months. Do you really think comments like that are going to help?”Dreamer allows herself a scoff, and then nods in the direction of the Connection’s upcoming opponents derisively. MvH: “The tag team division buries itself when it offers up these fools as its number one contenders. I guess I was hoping for something more.”Michelle makes as if to leave, before electing to turn back, facing Savage with narrowed eyes. MvH: “You look familiar. Were you in the CWA?”She doesn’t give him much of a chance to answer, and it doesn’t seem as though Savage is going to dignify that with a response anyway, but von Horrowitz quickly walks out of shot. The four men linger. Gerald Grayson: “Good luck, I guess.”He follows after his tag team partner as the Undisputed Alliance are left next to Salum, watching the championships walk away as we fade to black. “ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMBIEEEEEEEEEE!”{ZOMBIE || THE CRANBERRIES} The fans in the stadium respond in usual kind as the iconic theme song plays for the second time tonight and a group of individuals walk out from the back together. At the front is Lizzie Rose and Joe Burr, with Reagan Cole behind them - along with Jeffry Mason and TYLER. A very angry Kayden Knox follows them, with Maxwell Lester in his ear. Behind them is the man himself, the FWA World Champion… Devin Golden. Despite dropping some of his eccentricities earlier on, the hat, the cane and the delusions seem to be back as Golden animatedly watches his team make their way to the ring. Kurt Harrington: "The following contest is a ten person tag team match scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, the team of Joe Burr, Lizzie Rose, Reagan Cole, Kayden Knox and the FWA World Champion… ‘The Rotten Gold’... DEVINNNN GOOOOLLLDEEENNNNNNN!!"Daniella Kennedy: “There are a lot of combustible elements to this match, guys, and I am not just talking about the fire that was started backstage earlier tonight. Devin Golden will lead this team, which includes people he has been allied with in the past, as he prepares to face Chris Peacock at Back in Town, where his FWA World Championship will be on the line.”Christian Quinn: “I don’t think Devin will be putting as much stock into this match as you think, Daniella. This is just another match for him. For his teammates, it is a chance to build some momentum of their own.”Rod Sterling: “Well, it has been confirmed by Jon Russnow that Kayden Knox will be facing Mike Parr at Back in Town, but ‘The Prodigy’ will only get the match if he allows this match to go ahead without intervention. With Jeffry Mason and TYLER out here though, I don’t think Parr is the one he should be worried about.”Golden enters the ring last after the rest of his team and they all take their places in the ring as they await their opponents. {HE’S THE GREATEST DANCER || SISTER SLEDGE} Whilst Golden allowed his team to appear before him, Chris Peacock is leading from the front and he has an almost-blank expression in his eyes as he marches out from the back, without any showboating or similar being exhibited tonight. Tommy Bedlam is a few steps behind, followed by an enthusiastic Bellatrix Bordeaux. XYZ follows them, holding out his cape wide and making up the rear are The Coven. Kleio De Santos is dressed to compete but is not alone, as the Ravenwood sisters are accompanying her tonight. Kurt Harrington: "Their opponents… the team of XYZ, Tommy Bedlam, Bellatrix Bordeaux, Kleio De Santos and ‘Disco’s Last Warrior’ CHRISSSSSSSSSS PEEEEAAACCCCCOOOOOOOCCCCCK!!"Christian Quinn: “I am surprised that Peacock can even show his face out here after he was absolutely obliterated by Devin Golden earlier on tonight. He was crying!”Rod Sterling: “It is not in his nature to run away from a fight, Christian, even if it is one against his own emotions. Peacock lacks the familiarity with his team that Devin Golden possesses, but these are some talented individuals here.”Daniella Kennedy: “A very unique mix of styles on display for Peacock’s team, that is for sure..”Peacock rolls into the ring and steps closer to Golden, but is moved back by the referee in the ring, which causes Golden to smirk. As Bordeaux gets in, she waves at Lizzie Rose, who awkwardly returns it. Whilst some discussion is opened into by Golden’s team about who is going to start the match, there is a clear directive from Chris Peacock that he wishes to lead from the front. The bell rings and Chris Peacock stands in the centre of the ring, with his partners all on the apron behind him and he looks across at his opponents, who seem to have not yet decided who will be kicking things off for them. Devin Golden is the first to exit onto the ring apron and then more of his team follows, leaving Kayden Knox as the one to be the legal starting man in the ring with ‘Disco’s Last Warrior’. As soon as Knox turns around, he is immediately accosted by Peacock, who tags him with some body shots and then further strikes to the head. Rod Sterling: “It has been a night of heavy emotions so far for both Chris Peacock and Kayden Knox, and it looks like Peacock could be using Knox’s face to get some of that pent up frustration out.”Peacock lands a jab to Knox’s face and then follows up with a second and turns on the spot… and drops Knox down to the mat with a more powerful right hand! Knox scrambles on the mat and settles in the corner but Peacock charges in with a running forearm straight to the face! Peacock steps up onto the middle rope and starts raining down on Knox’s head with punches and the fans are behind Peacock as he gets off to a quick start to the match. The crowd counts along; “ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT! NINE!”The counting stops before ten as Peacock takes a moment to glance over at Golden, who smirks back at him and it is this momentary distraction that allows Kayden Knox to grab Peacock by the waistband and drop him down onto the top turnbuckle! Knox quickly gets behind Peacock and applies a quick Full Nelson, and he elevates Peacock up into the air and then cracks him with a knee to the back of the head on his way down! This causes Peacock to slump against the turnbuckles and Knox follows up with a hard elbow strike to the back of the head. On the outside of the ring, Maxwell Lester seems to be enjoying his client’s handiwork, as shown by him nodding his head. Daniella Kennedy: “Maxwell Lester is pleased with what he is seeing from Kayden Knox, his joker, and Knox seems to have moved past the events of earlier on tonight.”Christian Quinn: “This Lester guy creeps me out, I’ll be honest. But with Mike Parr not allowed out here right now, Knox is able to do his thing and I’m enjoying watching him have his way with the dancing idiot.”Knox grabs Peacock into a headlock and drags him towards his team’s corner where he offers a tag to anyone willing to take it from him and Lizzie Rose is the one who takes him up on it, much to the delight of the crowd. Instead of entering the ring through the ropes, Lizzie perches herself on the top turnbuckle and asks Knox to bring Peacock in and when he does, Lizzie grabs Peacock around the head and pushes off from the corner and plants Peacock on the top of his head with a Tornado DDT! Lizzie quickly floats over into a pin, hooking a leg; ONE… TWO-NO!! The pin is broken up by Kleio De Santos! It was a quick break from the corner from KDS and a well-placed boot to the side of Lizzie’s head was enough to break the count, although Peacock probably had it covered as he looked to be about to kick out. Lizzie is ushered back to her corner by the referee and she and Bellatrix Bordeaux seem to be getting into some sort of disagreement, with Trixie unhappy that Kleio attacked her new friend without provocation. Kleio gives her own partner a shove, and then Tommy Bedlam is forced to get in between them to stop Team Peacock imploding! Bedlam seems to be in disagreement with Kleio’s actions and he tells her as much, earning him an earful from the Ravenwood sisters behind him which he ignores. Rod Sterling: “The Peacock camp could be falling apart at the seams right before our eyes! Kleio De Santos gets herself involved in the match to break up that pin and get a cheap shot in on her former rival Lizzie Rose. However, Bordeaux and Bedlam are not in approval!”XYZ, however, seems more invested in what is happening in the ring, which is both Peacock and Rose getting to their feet at the same time and Peacock opting not to tag out and he charges in at Lizzie, only to get caught with a Drop Toehold, and he lands across the middle rope! Lizzie decides that it is time to go for another tag and she initially offers it to Devin Golden, but the FWA World Champion seems content for his team to do the work for him and this time it is Reagan Cole (who is also here) that takes the reins. Upon entering the match, Cole looks to follow up on Peacock, but next to Peacock on the outside is Jeffry Mason, along with TYLER. Mason shakes his head and can be heard telling Cole to “Remember what we talked about.”. Reagan grits his teeth and appears reluctant to act, BUT THEN COLE SPINS ON HIS HEEL AND TURNS AROUND, WIPING BELLATRIX BORDEAUX FROM THE APRON!! The crowd are not happy with Cole’s actions, and this seems to annoy the former Gauntlet Champion and he seems remorseful as Trixie lays on the floor on the outside, with Tommy and XYZ dropping down from the apron to check on her. Daniella Kennedy: “Oh! That was just uncalled for! That Jeffry Mason has Reagan Cole doing his bidding and Cole has just targeted the unsuspecting Bordeaux - that was a callous move!”Even some of Cole’s teammates, Lizzie Rose and Joe Burr, seem upset by his actions. Cole moves on and turns his attention to the other legal man in the match in Chris Peacock, and Cole picks Peacock up from the ropes, but Peacock shoots his fist up and catches Cole flush on the nose with Fight Fever! Cole recoils holding his face and Peacock turns, standing up straight. Cole turns back to face Peacock and PEACOCK STRIKES WITH A PIMP SLAP TO REAGAN COLE! The crowd cheer loudly as Peacock looks to then get past his opponent towards his corner, but Cole catches him and elevates him up into the air and runs him back into the Team Golden corner. The tag is made to Kayden Knox, who rejoins the match and Knox tags Peacock with some body blows in the corner and then brings him out further into the ring and hooks him up for a Suplex… which he delivers into the turnbuckles!! Peacock is bent and broken on the mat at the feet of Devin Golden who laughs at the misfortune that his number one contender finds himself in. Knox holds his hand out to his team and it is Joe Burr that takes up the mantle! Rod Sterling: “Joe Burr comes in there now as Team Golden are doing a great job in isolating Peacock from his team, who are now all back on the apron.”Christian Quinn: “Hopefully this clown won’t screw things up!”Burr gets into the ring and instead of following up on Peacock, he flexes his muscles to the crowd to a mixed response. With Peacock up to his feet in the corner now, Burr charges in, but Peacock gets his boot up! Burr is knocked back and Peacock turns, swinging at Kayden Knox to knock him down onto the apron and he also goes for Golden, but ‘The Rotten Gold’ drops from the apron just in time to avoid the punch which angers Peacock. The worn out number one contender for the FWA World Championship turns around to see Joe Burr back to his feet and PEACOCK CHARGES THROUGH HIM WITH A CLOTHESLINE! BOTH ARE DOWN! The crowd find their voices as they will Peacock on to make a tag to his team, all of whom are reaching out for him… AND REAGAN COLE ONCE AGAIN LEAVES HIS POST AND SPRINTS ACROSS THE RING, KNOCKING BORDEAUX DOWN!! There are more boos for Cole as Trixie is down on the floor once more and Jeffry Mason is shown smiling in his own sick way. However this time, the rest of Peacock’s team are not going to let it stand! Cole’s eyes widen as Tommy Bedlam steps through the ropes and goes after him, and Bedlam and Cole start exchanging blows in the middle of the ring! Rod Sterling: “There’s a lot of history here between these two!”Cole does manage to get the better of the exchange, but Bedlam blocks a punch and connects with a Headbutt that knocks Cole into the ropes and Bedlam follows up with a Cactus Clothesline which takes both men out of the ring and down to the floor! They continue to brawl on the outside… UNTIL BOTH ARE WIPED OUT BY A DIVING CROSSBODY FROM KLEIO DE SANTOS!! Kleio gets back up and smirks at the men she knocked down, one of whom being her own partner and she receives applause from Blair and Celestia. What Kleio fails to notice though is KAYDEN KNOX RUNNING TOWARDS THE ROPES AND HE LEAPS ON THE TOP ONE AND THEN WIPES KDS OUT WITH A SPRINGBOARD 450 SPLASH!! This time it is Knox getting the plaudits from Maxwell Lester, but he fails to notice XYZ taking up a position on the ring apron and XYZ TAKES FLIGHT WITH A SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT!!! XYZ rises to his feet and stretches his cape out but already looming over him is Lizzie Rose standing on the top rope… LIZZIE LEAPS AND LANDS ON XYZ’S SHOULDERS… ROSECANRANA IN BLOOM!!! Daniella Kennedy: “There’s a massive pile of bodies on the outside, guys! LOOK WHO IS WAITING FOR THEIR TURN!”The fans watch on as Devin Golden has stepped through the ropes. He ignores the downed Chris Peacock and Joe Burr in the ring and sees the mass of humanity on the outside and despite still feeling the effects of Winter Wasteland, the FWA World Champion runs the ropes… GOLDEN TAKES OUT EVERYONE WITH A SUICIDE DIVE!!! The crowd are on their feet in applause as everyone on the outside is now down. In the ring though, both Chris Peacock and Joe Burr are back to a state of awareness and both look to their corners for a tag to one of their partners. There is a stunned look on Burr’s face as he sees that there is no one there for him to tag in, but for Peacock, Bellatrix Bordeaux is back on the apron. Trixie nervously holds her hand out, and Peacock leaps forwards, making the tag! Christian Quinn: “What is the opposite of putting on a clinic, because that is the opposite of what we’re about to see.”Trixie seems apprehensive to go in and fight Burr at first, but at Peacock’s command, Bordeaux comes in and she goes straight for Burr who comes out of his corner and she knocks him down with a Thesz Press! The crowd cheers Trixie on as she lands some strikes to Burr’s head in the mounted position. She rises to her feet and seems surprised with the fan response to her, but in doing so fails to notice that Burr has scurried away and he himself has tagged in his close ally, Lizzie Rose. The arrival of Rose garners a smile from Bordeaux, who seems pleased to see her new friend, but her attempt at a hug backfires when Rose shows she is willing to put friendships aside and connects with a kick to the midsection! Bordeaux is down to a knee and Rose leaps over the top of her, and rolls through! ONE… TWO… THR-NO!!! The pin is once again broken up by Kleio De Santos! However, this time KDS does not stop at just breaking up the pin, she picks up Kleio and slams her to the mat with a judo throw! As Kleio returns to her corner, she is once again confronted by Tommy Bedlam who takes umbrage with her getting involved in such a way. Bordeaux looks to go for a tag out, but Lizzie does manage to grab her by the ankle and she pulls Trixie closer to the Team Golden corner where she reaches for a tag and gets one from Reagan Cole. Rod Sterling: “Cole has been targeting Bordeaux at the behest of Jeffry Mason this entire match but now he has the chance to be in the ring with her legally!”Cole enters the ring again and Trixie immediately tries to escape but he manages to catch her before she can make a tag to one of her partners. Lifting Bordeaux up for a Back Suplex, Cole is surprised when she carries on the momentum and lands on his feet behind him. Trixie attempts to crawl through his legs, but Reagan grabs her by the waist as she passes through and has her in position for a German Suplex, but again Trixie evades by locking her feet around Cole’s waist and with some difficulty, she eventually is able to roll through into a Victory Roll! ONE… TWO… THREE-NO!!! She almost got him! Reagan powers out using his legs and this propels Bordeaux forward and allows her to dive and make a tag! She looked for Tommy Bedlam, but Kleio De Santos put her hand in front of Tommy’s to accept the tag herself! KDS enters the ring to a negative reaction and her attempts to rub it in Tommy’s face backfires when Cole rushes her from behind and sends her into the turnbuckle. Cole looks for a roll through out of it but Kleio goes further and gets back to her feet. KDS swings for Cole but he avoids it and gets behind her… INVENTED SUPLEX!! Cole looks for a tag from his team and it is Devin Golden that puts himself forward and enters the match legally for the first time. Immediately, Chris Peacock on the apron is demanding a tag from Kleio for a chance to get his hands on the FWA World Champion, but The Coven at ringside screams at him to stop telling Kleio what to do. Again, Tommy Bedlam is frustrated by this and he jumps down from the apron to confront the Ravenwood sisters and tell them to butt out of it. They seem to be on board with Tommy and back away, but as he turns around both Celestia and Blair shove him forward into the steel ring post! Rod Sterling: “Those devious Ravenwood sisters! They’ve just attacked someone on the same team as their leader!”Daniella Kennedy: “Things aren’t looking good for Team Peacock right now because Devin Golden has Kleio De Santos right where he wants her!”Golden slowly brings KDS up to her feet and positions her in Suplex position… and he DROPS KDS ONTO THE MAT WITH THE ROTTEN TOUCH! Golden drops to the mat and looks to go for a cover but stops when he sees that Peacock is already through the ropes ready to break it up and he requests the referee makes Peacock back off, which he is forced to. Golden stands back up and motions that he will allow a tag to be made by KDS… but only to XYZ. This visibly frustrates Peacock, but nonetheless, XYZ reaches over the ropes and tags himself into the match. There is a lot of mental instability in the ring right now with these two characters, but both Golden and XYZ seem to be approaching the match seriously and they lock up in the middle of the ring. Golden seems to get the upper hand on the exchange, but XYZ quickly sweeps the FWA World Champion’s leg to knock him down and then he drops an elbow across Golden’s chest. The crowd get behind XYZ and both he and Golden get up quickly and XYZ starts unloading on Golden’s legs with a barrage of kicks! They seem to be taking the legs out from underneath ‘The Rotten Gold’ but Golden reads one correctly and jumps over it, meaning that XYZ’s momentum turns him a full rotation around and this allows Golden to grab XYZ around the waist and he takes him over with a German Suplex! Golden maintains his grip and then takes XYZ over for a second German Suplex! Again, Golden keeps his hands clasped, but XYZ plants himself to prevent the trifecta and then he runs Golden backwards into the Peacock corner and Peacock looks to tag himself in, but Kleio beats him to the draw! Rod Sterling: “Kleio De Santos and the Coven are making things very difficult for their own team at the moment with the complete lack of teamwork and the attack on Tommy Bedlam.”Kleio and Peacock exchange cross looks as she enters the ring through the ropes and she grabs Golden in a headlock and attempts a Headlock Takeover, but Golden shoves her away from him and into the ropes. Kleio runs the ropes and ducks the attempted Clothesline from Golden and turns it around into a Hip Toss! Golden lands hard and moves towards his corner where Kayden Knox tags himself back into the match. Knox hops over the top rope and he and Kleio begin to circle the ring before locking up. KDS uses her technical ability to get into a good position behind Kayden and she applies a Hammerlock, but Knox jumps into the air and rocks KDS with a Tilt-a-Whirl Stunner! The impact does not take Kleio off of her feet and she staggers back into her own corner where she receives a VERY hard slap on the back from Tommy Bedlam! Bedlam is back from meeting the ring post and has a small laceration on his forehead to show for it. Kleio is annoyed as Bedlam enters the ring and he makes it clear that he is unimpressed with the actions of her and her stablemates. Tommy turns around and sees Kayden Knox standing in front of him and watches as Knox backs away… and slaps Joe Burr on the chest. Rod Sterling: “Kayden Knox didn’t want any part of Tommy Bedlam it seems like…”Daniella Kennedy: “Just look at how mad Tommy is, Rod! Do you really blame him?”A confused Joe Burr enters the ring and faces Tommy Bedlam; another combination where there is a bit of history after both men fell through a table together a year ago. The confidence of Joe Burr is present as usual, as he seems to fancy himself against a much larger opponent. Tommy takes the challenge seriously and he catches Burr when the smaller man attempts to dive on him, but much to Tommy’s surprise, Burr shifts his weight and drills Tommy into the mat with a DDT!! Everyone is taken by surprise and Burr starts to celebrate by dancing in the ring; the poor moves disgusting Chris Peacock. What Burr fails to notice though is the very angry Tommy Bedlam rising to his feet behind him and when Burr does turn around BEDLAM TURNS HIM INSIDE OUT WITH A DISCUS CLOTHESLINE! Burr does a full rotation in the air and Tommy, still in a fit of rage, plucks Burr from the mat and places his head in between his legs… AND TOMMY DRIVES BURR INTO THE MAT WITH A PILEDRIVER!! Rod Sterling: “Things are not looking good for Joe Burr right now, and I think Peacock wants in to see this thing through!”Christian Quinn: “What a gloryhog.”As Tommy rises to his feet, he sees Peacock asking for the tag and obliges by smacking Chris’s hand, and Peacock comes in to pick up Burr from the mat and he plants him with a Famouser! Peacock flips Burr onto his back and then hooks both legs! ONE… TWO… THREE-NO!!! This time Reagan Cole breaks up the pin at the urging of Jeffry Mason! Cole stands in the ring once again and Mason tells him to repeat what he has done twice already and go after Bordeaux, but Trixie sees it coming this time and she reaches over the ropes and cracks Cole with a forearm as he gets closer to her… and she follows him into the ring as he turns around… SWEET DREAMS!! The Codebreaker sends the crowd into a wild frenzy as Trixie gets some revenge on Cole and Mason by extension. Cole rolls out under the bottom rope and is scalded by his ‘allies’ as he is out of it on the outside. With Trixie savouring her moment of triumph, she fails to notice KAYDEN KNOX CHARGING IN AND KNOX DRIVES BORDEAUX INTO THE MAT WITH THE PEACE OF MIND!! Knox’s boots leave an almost-visible footprint on Bordeaux, but he himself doesn’t see KLEIO, WHO SPINS HIM AROUND… LETTERS TO KLEIO!! Knox is down now, and Maxwell Lester on the outside is beside himself. Bodies are beginning to littler the ring and the outside as people are being taken out, and Kleio looks over to Golden’s team, expecting to be ambushed, but it doesn’t come. What she does not expect though is to be spun around by TOMMY BEDLAM! There is a moment of confusion but TOMMY DRILLS KLEIO WITH THE BUCKSHOT!!! Tommy took out his own partner in a showing of revenge! Daniella Kennedy: “Turnabout is fair play for Kleio De Santos and The Coven!” Tommy ignores the shrieks of the Ravenwood sisters on the outside of the ring as Kleio rolls out and lands at their feet. From in the ring, Tommy looks down, pleased with his actions even though it could be detrimental to his team’s chances of winning the match. However what he does not appreciate is that being so close to the corner and looking the other way puts him in perfect position for SLICED LIZ FROM LIZZIE ROSE!!! Rose plants Tommy on the mat and stands back up, but she herself does not see the INCOMING XYZ WITH A SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT!! XYZ though does not get much chance to follow up as he’s plucked from the mat by Devin Golden… ROTTEN TOUCH!! And just like that, the FWA World Champion is the only man standing in the ring and he holds his arms out and lets out a loud “HAAA-AAAAAAHHHH!”. The noise level from the crowd rises though as someone rises behind Golden, and it is the man who he will face at Back in Town. Chris Peacock has a crazed look in his eye, chomping at the bit. Golden does not realise it until it is too late… he turns around AND PEACOCK TACKLES HIM INTO THE TURNBUCKLE… AND PEACOCK DRIVES GOLDEN INTO THE MAT WITH THE ROLLER DISCO!! Rod Sterling: “If we see that at Back in Town we could have a new FWA World Champion! Peacock gets his man tonight at least! Golden is not the legal man, though!”In a moment of pure emotion, Peacock proudly stands over Golden and has some words for him, but he fails to notice someone sneaking up behind him… JOE BURR WITH THE ROLL UP!!! ONE! … … TWO!! … … … THREE!!? … … … … … NO!!! PEACOCK KICKS OUT AT THE LAST SECOND!!! The infamous roll up that has caught out many in the past does not get Peacock and Joe Burr realises the position that he is in when an infuriated Peacock rises back to his feet and stands over him… AND PEACOCK RUNS THROUGH BURR WITH THE STRUT!! Everyone else is down, and Peacock drops and makes the pin on the other legal man in the match! ONE… TWO… THREE!!! {RESULT}Winners: Chris Peacock, Tommy Bedlam, Kleio De Santos, Bellatrix Bordeaux and Chris Peacock by pin fall in 19:25. The fans cheer as Peacock gets up to his knees and is helped up by the referee and has his arm raised. A smile forms on his face in victory but this drops when he sets eyes on Devin Golden on the outside of the ring. Golden holds the back of his head and has his championship handed to him which he rests on his chest. Despite the loss tonight, the FWA World Champion grins at his number one contender. Kurt Harrington: "Here are your winners… XYZ, Tommy Bedlam, Bellatrix Bordeaux, Kleio De Santos and CHRIS PEACOCK!!"Daniella Kennedy: “What a match! That was ten FWA stars of the past, present and future putting it all out there and in the end, Chris Peacock has led his team to victory tonight and what a statement that is going into Back in Town where he will face Devin Golden for the FWA World Championship!”Christian Quinn: “Good for Peacock, I guess? Look at Golden, he knows that tonight doesn’t matter. Even now, after everything Devin said to him earlier on, he still thinks he has achieved anything and that he’s got one over Golden. That isn’t what a champion does. Let him have this tonight, it is all he will be able to celebrate.”Rod Sterling: “Christian, I may have to agree. Unless Peacock can get it done when it really matters, what is all of this for?”With Peacock in the ring still reflecting on the match that was, we see some of the others around ringside; The Coven and Tommy Bedlam are squabbling about their multiple meetings of minds during the match, whilst both Reagan Cole and Kayden Knox are being admonished by Jeffry Mason and Maxwell Lester, respectively. Rod Sterling: “Whilst the headline for this match is Peacock picking up some momentum going into Back in Town, there seem to have been a lot more issues that have developed as a result of this match! We’ll need to find out whether there are any ramifications that come from those, but there is just one match left tonight and it will be our second Semi Final of the F1 Climaxxx; Cyrus Truth and Alyster Black in tonight’s main event! But, wait, we’re being told that there is something happening backstage right now and we’ve got Katie Baxter trying her best to get on the scene!”The feed cuts to what appears to be a frantic scene backstage, with Katie Baxter shown jogging down a corridor with the cameraman struggling to keep up. She turns around to the camera as she runs, dangerously not looking where she is going. Katie Baxter: “We heard that there was a commotion of some sort taking place inside the office of Jon Russnow, and we’re just trying… to find out who is involved and what is happening…”Katie turns a corner and narrowly avoids one of her coworkers, but the cameraman bumps into the man, who was carrying a cup of coffee and it spills all over his chest. The shot pans up to see a furious Derek Hunter, who reaches out to grab the cameraman as he escapes. Baxter calls from further down the corridor. Katie Baxter: “COME ON! HURRY UP!”The cameraman manages to catch up with Katie and she stops in the middle of the corridor and fixes her hair quickly, brushing it back. The sound of raised voices and arguing can be heard from further down the corridor. She motions for the camera to follow her as she walks closer towards it. Katie Baxter: “Jon Russnow’s office is just a bit further down here and as I am sure you can hear, there is definitely some sort of disagreement happening.”Baxter puts her hand on the doorknob and takes a breath before opening the door, revealing who is in the office with the FWA Brand Coordinator. Katie Baxter: “Oh.”The disappointment on the face and in the voice of Katie Baxter is evident as the camera moves on from her and the first thing shown is the semi-bare ass of Ratin Mikichin, who is in Russnow’s office along with Steve the Techno Vampire. Steve and Ratin are both shouting indecipherably at Russnow, who has his head in his hands. FWA referee Joey Ortiz stands behind Russnow with his arms folded, a scowl on his face. Jon Russnow: “That’s enough. ENOUGH! SHUT UP, BOTH OF YOU!”Russnow’s outburst has the desired effect, and the incessant squabbling thankfully stops. Jon Russnow: “I’ve done everything in my power to make sure that you two get consistent opportunities in this company and what I do not need is you coming in here and causing all this trouble in my office! Now, I want ONE OF YOU to tell me what exactly it is that you want.”Steve and Ratin look at each other, a silent disagreement occurs over who will be the one that gets to address Russnow. Steve shakes his head and rolls his eyes and motions for Ratin to go ahead. Ratin Mikichin: “The referee screwed Ratin! Ratin was going to win the match and then he attacked us… we want justice!”Steve the Techno Vampire: “Ve vant you to make this right, Russnow. Ve are villing to put our differences aside if you vill give us a match together against Joey Ortiz.”From behind Russnow, Ortiz shakes his head and rubs his hand across his forehead, a mix of both amused and bemused. Russnow looks from Ratin to Steve and then back again. Jon Russnow: “That’s what you want? That’s it? A Handicap match with the two of you against Joey Ortiz?”Steve and Ratin nod in unison. Jon Russnow: “Let me think about that for a second… NO! NOW GET THE HELL OUT HERE!”There is quiet bewilderment on the faces of Ratin and Steve as both turn around, hanging their heads in dismay. They brush past Katie and the camera and we get another shot of Russnow and Ortiz. Jon Russnow: “You’ve really got to pull yourself together, Joey.”The smugness drops from Ortiz’s face due to the stern warning given to him by his boss. Ortiz bows his head down and exits the office too as Russnow shuffles some papers around. Finding our way in a grand looking living room, the walls have a dark purple colour with wooden beams holding up a high ceiling. A glass chandelier with flower designs in it hangs from above. Below, a fireplace against the wall with a dark stone finish. The flame in it burns a light blue, creating something unworldly. The windows nearby show a dark void with small twinkles of light as if it was the night sky. Hanging above the fireplace is a picture frame with a blank white canvas. Two young ladies stand in front of it. The first has her feet hovering slightly off the ground, a rather cold expression. Keres. The daughter of Demise. Her hair is tied in two pigtails as she wears something resembling a school uniform with a skirt and tie, all black. Standing by her side is Princess Nova, someone who is slightly more familiar to the FWA fans. She has her usual attire of a luxurious dress, this one black with trims of purple flowers, hugging her curves. Her gloves on her hands are long black. Tiara, as usual, is on her head. Patiently standing, she folds her hands together as both her and Keres look at the empty picture frame. Princess Nova: “Sister, why are we here, again?”
Keres: “It is time for preparation, Nova.”Keres’ voice is somewhat monotone as she practically floats in place. Keres: “Before we go into FWA, we need to understand what we are against.” The hand of Keres motions towards the picture frame. Keres: “Through this frame, we will peer into the hearts of the members of the FWA. We need to understand their potential and what art we can create together. I have much to learn about FWA. That is where you come in.”Still standing in place, Keres turns towards Nova, her feet not even touching the ground. Keres: “You had a brief exposure to FWA several weeks ago. Mother and father tasked you with surveying the land before we could make our decision. I am also not used to competing inside of a wrestling. Teach me. Teach me about what we have to worry about."Politely, Princess Nova nods, appearing rather docile and giggly. Princess Nova: “Understood, I will lend you my knowledge, hehe.”Princess Nova takes a step forward towards the picture frame, she gazes up. Princess Nova: “It is tradition in wrestling to aim for championships. Often represented in the form of a golden belt, they give you prominence. A crown for commoners, hehe.”She points to her crown and smiles. Princess Nova: “Often you have positions of greater importance on the show, but usually it is a sign of being the best. The individuals who rise above others. A symbol of strength. In fact, there is a championship designed for teams of two. As well as, in FWA, for championships for singles competitors.”
Keres: “Show me them.”Keres orders her “sister” and she obliges. The picture frame, in front of their eyes, changes to an oil painting featuring the FWA Tag Team Champions, Michelle Von Horrowitz and Gerald Grayson, of the Nephews, they are The Connection. It is a recreation of them standing in the ring with the tag team titles in their grasp. Princess Nova: “The FWA Tag Team Champions. The Gerald Grayson and Michelle Von Horowitz. The Connection representing a group called Cthulhu's Nephews. Michelle. She’s especially infamous.”
Keres: “Carry on.”Keres says calmly, her face unflinching. Princess Nova: “Decorated woman with world championships and main events under her belt, she calls herself “The Dreamer.” She is somewhat vain and ruthless in the ring, and unlike her partner, Gerald, is more than willing to get her hands dirty for a win. Defeating her, to some, is a rare occurrence.”Keres hums, keeping her expressionless face. Keres: “It is a wonder why she is so concerned in the tag team ranks? Surely if she is so strong she can take any championship she desires on a whim. Suppose she needs to “dream” such a thing? As the Heir of Fantasy, one day, you need to show her the true power of your imagination, Nova. But, of course, it will be a team effort and I will gladly be of assistance. What about her partner?”
Princess Nova: “By comparison, Gerald Grayson is an upstanding individual. He refuses to go to her lengths and instead aims for victory through speed, agility, and heart. Something I suppose I could understand in a past life. One I no longer need. Despite obvious talent, he appears to be slightly behind in the shadow of his partner.”The head Keres has a slight tilt as she moves closer to the frame. Keres: “Two people so different… as a strong team? Their bond is nothing compared to ours, not unless there is something that ties them together.”
Princess Nova: “Someone does.”The frame's image changes in front of their eyes as soon, the other members of the infamous Cthulu’s Nephews appear around the champions. Princess Nova: “Him, Uncle J.J. Jay and his Nephews. A team that exists for anarchy and has a world which in all that is TORN is obscure and empty. The traits of these individuals that they share are few and far in between, and yet somehow they exist as a team. These, for a lack of a better term, minions, have often become a difference maker in matches. Dare I say it appears that beyond being a tool for Miss Von Horrowitz to get ahead, they have grown far beyond its shelf life to some.”
Keres: “Disappointing that some hold onto deadweight. Instead of letting nature take its course so that they may return to the Earth and fertilize the future. It is a weakness I trust you do not have.”Shaking her head, Princess Nova has a wide grin on her face. Princess Nova: “Not at all!”
Keres: “I do wonder how much of the strength of the champions comes from their association with their Cephalopod loving friends? I think this should provide a good beginning for the future-”Keres turns to Princess Nova. She floats closer to her right hand and gently places her hand on her shoulder. Keres: “But we will not rush, nor should we limit ourselves to one domain. Their time will come. I have seen your potential on your own. I would love to succeed where my parents have failed and bring you to where you were destined to be. Who else finds themselves with gold?’Giggling, Princess Nova responds giddily. Princess Nova: “Gold you say? Teehee”The painting warps and distorts to a familiar sight from the end of Fallout. An oil painting recreation of Devin Golden winning perhaps the final title win of his career, face bloodied on the triple cage, holding the FWA Television Championship with his hands taped up in glass. Princess Nova: “Then I suppose it would be only fitting to go to the very top then, sister. Truly, this man is a foundational piece of FWA on what appears to be a potential swan song for his career. Devin Golden, despite being only 34 is battered and bruised and on his final legs. Though his golden touch remained, beating Black just last week for the world championship, it is a true question of how long he has left. We might not even get to him before he is gone.”Princess Nova giggles. Princess Nova: “Though how many truly stay gone? Hehe”
Keres: “This man has destroyed himself at such a young age? What a pittance? Going off in the sunset so soon. The truth is that his career will be long in the dirt by the time we may have a chance to face him. That is unless he gets drawn into his lust for gold once again. He nearly killed himself to get one more championship reign, what is to say he won’t do it again?”With a coldness in her voice. Keres: “Perhaps that time he’ll finally die for it?”The picture frame moves to his opponent from the previous week, the man who has remained a constant for his title scene, X Champion Alyster Black. The signature mask of Alyster Black is seen in a head-shot. Princess Nova: “Of course, this man here was the one Golden defeated, though he is not empty handed. Despite holding a championship held together by tape, Alyster Black has raised a championship with a focus on hardcore wrestling into a championship with near world title status, cemented when he won the vacant championship. Truthfully, I believe in my crown over one held together by tape, but he has given something shoddy, spilling his blood and that of his challengers for it, purpose.”Keres floats back and forth around the painting, taking a long look at the former world champion. She hums. Keres: “Maybe we can admire the black heart of a champion? Though his time on top was short. He rushed to the top quickly and fell just as fast and now he is back with his familiar, the X Championship. It will be a fun challenge to see what he can do? I believe there is a certain creation from mother which can always be revived for a man like him?”She turns towards Nova. Keres: “Fond memories for you, wasn’t it?”Princess Nova giggles like a mischievous child. She places her hands behind her back. Princess Nova: “Maybe, hehe. I think one Reagan Cole can attest to it being a life changing experience. Though we do have some connections to others in FWA, some looser than others. Such as a friend of an old friend”The painting shifts from one masked wrestler to another. A scene of Vampyra during her entrance is painted with her FWA Television Championship over her shoulder. Princess Nova pouts. Princess Nova: “Aww, it is so disappointing I can’t get to play with her friend again! She’s so cute!!!”Princess Nova blushes and Keres says firmly. Keres: “Focus, sister. Tell me about this masked woman.”The TORN Angel shakes her head to refocus and she skips around. Princess Nova: “Well, Vampyra is a young woman from Japan. Her experience in FWA is very limited but in a short time rose to the ranks of a champion. Though her sudden inclusion in a tournament called the F1 was surprising, and she lost three matches, she showed some potential. Though this should not be a surprise, despite being 21, she has wrestled since high school, primarily with a group called “MAYHEM” in Japan.”
Keres: “And yet the true MAYHEM lies within her mask.”Keres floats in front of the painting and gets a long look at the FWA Television Champion’s portrait. Keres: “Something tells me that there is a deeper meaning to her mask than she lets on. She picks a creature of the night and fiction, blood-thirsty. If only we can get a peer beyond her mask? That story will be one to tell.”Turning to her sister, Keres floats next to her and asks. Keres: “Any other champions?”Nova raises her hand and the picture changes again. Continuing on, we have the FWA North American Champion, Bryan Baxter with his championship on his shoulder and the oil painting shows him in the ring with his estranged best friend, Jeremy Best. Seeing the tension between them, Keres asks. Keres: “I sense tension. What is the matter between them?”
Princess Nova: “A reminder of the dangers of greed, Keres.”Princess Nova takes a step forward, she turns to Keres to make sure she is paying attention as she points to the painting. Princess Nova: “In the team of the Buddy System, Bryan Baxter was long an auxiliary player to his friend, Jeremy Best, but upon receiving a championship match and winning he slowly changed. The fires of the dark flame in his heart grew, stoked by Bill Scorpane. A rift has grown between them and his attitude has made his buddy grow closer to others.”
Keres: “Not everyone can handle that power unless they make sacrifices. It is a shame that his friend does not understand his change. This will either tear them apart or build them to be stronger if one opens their eyes to the possibilities.”The painting has water like ripples in it and… the third party in this conflict, Lizzie Rose, appears between them. Keres tilts her head. Princess Nova: “That is Lizzie Rose. The former champion who is innocently trying to be friends with Best whilst trying to get her championship back in her possession.”Keres examines the picture of Lizzie Rose more. She looks long at her, trying to peer into the former champion. Keres: “There is something familiar… with her. Not appearance...”Looking back and forth between her “sister” and the painting, Keres tries to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Finally, she has a very light… smirk on her face, a rare show of expression, and she floats back to her sister. Keres: “I believe it would be foolish for us to chase championship glory immediately. The time will come. I have different ideas.”Princess Nova politely curtsies. Princess Nova: “Understood, dear sister. What do you have in mind?”Reaching forward, Keres gently touches Nova’s cheek. Keres: “We will continue to discuss in the coming days. But we should focus our efforts on the roots of FWA before we bear the fruits of our labour. FWA will be thankful they found us as there are many who may find themselves in need of our guidance.”Nodding, the Heir of Fantasy smiles. Princess Nova: “Sounds fun. It seems like you are carrying on from Slate and Eden.”
Keres: “Not quite.”Keres floats down and looks Nova directly in the eyes. Keres: “I do not wish to make the same mistakes as Mother and Father. We will have a slightly different approach. I will show you more soon. Your personal journey is also far from over. I see a lot of my parents in you and that is a good thing. But I know we are going to be a force greater than they imagined. You have much to show me, and I believe I can iron out your… imperfections.”The hand of Keres lightly touches Nova’s shoulder. Keres has a slight tilt of her head. Keres: “It will be a long process and in the end, I need your unquestioned loyalty.”Without any hesitation, Princess Nova nods. Princess Nova: “I am forever at your side. I was told to take care of you. I took that position knowing what was required. I’m happy to help my sister.”She does another curtsy to her “sister” and gives her a tight embrace. Keres lightly returns it. Keres: “That is what I thought. Mother made the right choice in choosing you. Let us go. We have much to prepare.”Raising her fingers Keres snaps and her, Nova, the painting, the entire room disappears left with black. As Fight Night continues the entire arena goes dark. All that there is in the way of any light is a dull, blue light illuminating the opening of the entranceway. “The Sinking Night” by AFI begins to play. {THE SINKING NIGHT || AFI} Rod Sterling: ”What the hell, I knew Greece had issues with money, but a complete blackout right now is ridiculous.”
Daniella Kennedy: “I'm not sure that this is a blackout, Rod. I've heard rumors that someone might be returning to the halls of FWA.”As the song makes its way a little after the one-minute mark the singer speaks the words, “I can feel it” and that’s when the crescendo of the song hits as the volume of the singer's voice raises up and the drums come in harder. Logan Darwin steps into the light of the entranceway. The song continues as Logan looks around into the darkness of the crowd. He raises his arm up, holding a fist in the air, and white pyro flies up in the air around him. As the crowd roars for Logan, he then begins to walk from the entrance way and “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” begins to play, and the lights in the arena return to being on. {GOD’S GONNA CUT YOU DOWN || JOHNNY CASH} Logan makes his way to the ring and walks up the steps. The fans can now see that he’s dressed in a pair of jeans and a denim jacket that has leather sleeves. The back of his jacket has the phrase, “The Reaper Never Dies”. He enters the ring and climbs the closest turnbuckle and raises his right arm in the air with a fist, which is met with a mixed reaction from the crowd. With a very stoic look on Logan’s face, he climbs down from the turnbuckle and grabs a microphone from the back pocket of his jeans. Walking to the center of the ring he looks into the camera and begins to speak. Logan Darwin: “It has been 265 days since Logan Darwin has stepped his foot in an FWA ring, and add many more days before that onto the last time he has wrestled in one. I realize that, for the most part, you fans have all the right to hate my guts as the last time I did step in this ring it was to align myself with my son, Johnny “The Legend” Johnson.”The mere mention of The Legend’s name throws the crowd into a frenzy of boos. Logan Darwin: ”For that, I am sorry. I’m sure I don’t have to tell anyone in this crowd that family is complicated. This is not me saying that I need you to forgive me or forget that Johnny is my son. But know this, I’m not that person anymore. I’m not a person that is willing to take every shortcut there is to get ahead. I’m not that person that is willing to stab anyone who puts their trust in me, including family. I’m not that person who would step on everyone that I could in order to become a success here at FWA. Those were all antics of my son. At the time when he asked for my help I agreed because I thought it would mend fences between the two of us. Fences that I smashed down when I was a much younger man, one that had no earthly idea what the hell he was doing in this world outside of this wrestling ring. He reached out to me for help, and I did it because I wanted him to not make the mistakes I did when I was his age and I thought I could change him.”Logan pauses for a second to think about what he is about to say next. Logan Darwin: ”And I could not…”Logan looks out into the crowd just to try to get a read on them and their reaction to what he is saying at the moment. He isn’t seeing much though in the way of sympathy. Logan Darwin: ”The next question that needs to be answered would be, why have I returned now? If the last time was merely to help my wayward son out, why am I here now? Johnny is long gone, on the other side of the world from here. Living in a combine in Tahiti. So, why has Logan Darwin come back to FWA, now?”That answer isn’t so easy. There is no reason for me to lie about it. I’m not exactly a young man. My body has been beaten down on more days than some guys in this locker room have been alive. I wouldn’t blame anyone for calling me a broken-down old man. Hell, I sometimes look in the mirror and think the same damn thing. I think that the only physical activity I should be doing is playing cribbage down at the local old folk's home, with people my age.
“The fact is though, when I first came around to FWA I wasn’t that young either. At that point in my life, I wanted one last ride being at the top of this business. I wanted one last ride as a champion with the strongest wrestling company there is, in the way of competition. That is FWA. Those goals have not changed. Those goals were the only fuel I had the past year and a half since I last stepped in an FWA to even get out of bed.”I might be just a little older. I might be just a little slower than I was since the last time I wrestled in this ring. But the fact remains, this time around anyone that faces “The Reaper” will have to be ready to put me down for good. Because frankly this time around, “The Reaper” is going to get that run at the top or he’s going to die trying.” With those last words Logan drops the mic and the mixture of emotions from the crowd has now tipped slightly to cheers mixed over a still strong reaction of boos. As Logan hops back out of the ring Fight Night continues on and fades into the next segment. Backstage once again, and Alyster Black is shown walking down a corridor just before the main event of tonight’s show. ‘Black Jesus’ is doing everything he can to hide any adverse effects from the Winter Wasteland match which took place on Fallout 025 a couple of weeks ago. As he walks past a group of people, one of them punches him on the arm and he turns around, ready to throw hands after this person broke his focus ahead of his match. The mood softens when he sees that it was Chris Peacock, speaking to some of the producers after his own match. Peacock drinks from a water bottle and hops off the crate that he was sitting on. Alyster Black: “I almost sparked you out there, idiot. Good win, by the way.”They share a laugh and bump fists. Chris Peacock: “Thanks, at least tonight wasn’t a total bust for me after he handed me my ass earlier on. Doesn’t matter right now, though. Fuck him up, alright?”Alyster Black: “What do you think I’m planning on doing?”Another laugh. Another fist bump. Peacock moves out of the way to allow Black to pass as he heads towards the ring… {THE SOUND OF TRUTH || AS I LAY DYING} Cyrus Truth slowly walks out from the back as the crowd greets him with a standing ovation. Truth cracks his knuckles as he takes a moment to stand on the stage, the focus evident on his face. Kurt Harrington: "Ladies and gentlemen… the following contest is scheduled for one-fall with a sixty minute time limit and is our MAIN EVENT of the evening! Introducing first, from The Long & Winding Road and weighing in at two hundred twenty-seven pounds… he is The Exile… CYRUS TTTTTTTRRRRRRRRUUUUTH”"Christian Quinn: "What a moment this is for Cyrus Truth. Here he is with a second chance of life in the F1 Climaxxx and you can tell that he's not going to take this second chance for granted."Rod Sterling: "That's absolutely right, Christian. Thanks to Chris Peacock's decision to cash in his Golden Opportunity at Back in Town, Cyrus Truth goes from thinking he was out to getting thrust back in with another crack at this thing. And if we know anything about The Exile... he is going to give it everything he's got to leave Athens tonight with a ticket to Back in Town."Daniella Kennedy: "There's just one little problem, guys... he's got to get past the now former FWA World Champion to get there!"Rod Sterling: "No one said it would be easy, Daniella! But what a match this should be... it's amazing to think that through all these years THIS is the first time these two are going to be meeting one on one... and what huge stakes!"Truth makes his way down the aisle before climbing into the ring and discarding his grey hoodie before leaning against the ring ropes and awaiting the arrival of his opponent. {SONNE || RAMMSTEIN} The fans in Athen give another standing ovation for the former FWA World Champion and current X Champion as he walks out from the stage, the X Championship proudly around his waist as he stops to stare down Cyrus Truth from the stage. Kurt Harrington: "And introducing his opponent… currently residing in San Dimas, California… weighing in at two-hundred twenty-pounds.. he is the current FWA X Champion... "BLACK JESUS"... AAALLLLLLLLLLLYYYYSTER BBBLLLAAAAACK!"Christian Quinn: "Just two weeks ago, Alyster Black literally went through Hell with Devin Golden and the fact that he's able to walk out here tonight is impressive enough!"Daniella Kennedy: "If Alyster Black is breathing, he was gonna be here for this!"Rod Sterling: "No doubt about that, Daniella. As bad as Cyrus doesn't want to waste his second chance... this F1 Climaxxx is a bit of a second chance for Alyster Black as well. We all know he is going to want to get the World Championship back... and he'll get himself that shot by winning this tournament."Christian Quinn: "And he's been so impressive during this tournament run... he is coming into this semifinal match with an unblemished record in the F1."Daniella Kennedy: "That didn't help Bryan Baxter earlier tonight, now did it?"Rod Sterling: "Records don't mean anything at this point of the tournament. It's win or go home for both of these guys and neither one want to lose. This could be a war!"Alyster Black climbs into the ring and shares a stare across the ring with Truth. The pair share a brief nod of respect for one another as the match is about to get underway… But… {IN DREAMS || ROY ORBISON} After the positive reactions we experienced for both Alyster Black and Cyrus Truth, the audience sounds hostile in comparison when Michelle von Horrowitz walks out into the arena for the second time this evening. She has her FWA World Tag Team Championship upon her shoulder and is, for once, alone. She strides down the ramp and towards the ring as both of the men inside of it eye her up watchfully. Rod Sterling: ”And here comes that woman we were just talking about… the one that will meet either Alyster Black or Cyrus Truth in the final of the F1 Climaxx at Back in Town...”
Daniella Kennedy: “I guess Michelle von Horrowitz has more interest in the outcome of this match than the rest of us, despite the high levels of anticipation here in Athens - and no doubt around the world - for the first time match-up that’s about to unfold.”
Christian Quinn: ”Here to take a closer look, no doubt – and it appears Dreamer is on her way to join us here at the commentary booth…”We hear the sound of a headset being picked up, the camera cutting to the booth where MvH gets herself set up. We look over her shoulder at the ring, where both men have now re-focussed their attention on the match to come. Rod Sterling: “Michelle von Horrowitz, a dubious welcome to the commentary booth… though I guess we must be thankful you’ve at least come alone.”
Christian Quinn: ”Small graces, Rod…”
MvH: ”Wonderful to be here, wrestling fans! Rod, Christian, good to see you back and with four working limbs. Daniella, say hello to your brother for me.”In the ring, the official conducts his final checks before signalling to the timekeeper’s area… Cyrus Truth and Alyster Black circle the ring as the bell rings to start the match. Each man eyeing the other as they slowly make their way closer to the center of the ring, the crowd waiting with bated breath to see these two veterans clash. While only seconds have passed, it feels like minutes due to the anticipation but finally they meet in the center of the ring with a collar and elbow tie up. After some jockeying for position, it’s Cyrus pushing Black into the corner forcing a break up. But as he’s pulling away, Cyrus drives an elbow into the side of Black’s head! Truth backs up and away from the corner at the behest of referee Richard Davis, giving a slight smirk as he motions for Alyster Black to bring it on from out of the corner. Black has no problems doing just that as he comes back out of the corner and heads in for another lock up. This time Truth comes out of the tie up with an arm wrench to Black, but Black reverses it and instead it's Black now applying pressure with an arm wrench into a wristlock. It’s only brief as Truth rolls to the mat out of the hold and then pops back up to his feet with an elbow to the side of Black’s head! Christian Quinn: “Impressive hold and counter-hold, not to mention the strikes, from both men here. Michelle, how is it seeing your old rival Cyrus Truth take Black by surprise like that?”MvH: “I’ve seen it all before, half a hundred times. We all have. Surprised Alyster’s being fooled. Though it’s possible he’s throwing him a bone, like his new buddy Disco Baby did…”Black is staggered but comes right back at Truth, who takes Alyster down to the mat with an armdrag! Black quickly rolls back to his feet only to be taken down by a second armdrag from Truth, this time Truth holding on to his arm and wrapping his legs around Alyster’s head for a headscissors armbar submission! While Richard Davis is there to check on Black, he definitely isn’t submitting her and he begins to roll on the mat, beginning to try and get to his feet while still in the submission, perhaps looking to lift up Truth off the mat, but Truth realises that Black is recovering and releases the hold and pops back up to his feet to drive an elbow into the chest of Black. But ALyster absorbs the blow! He stands firm and dares Truth to get him again! Truth is happy to oblige, this time coming at Black with a knife-edge chop to the chest. Black shakes his head and fires back at Truth with a knife-edge chop of his own! The stiffness of the chop filled the arena as Truth yelled out and fired back with a chop of his own! Chop! Chop! Chop! Back and forth these two trade knife-edge chops in the centre of the ring, neither man giving an inch and the crowd eats it up, each chop getting a louder and louder pop from the crowd. After trading chops back and forth, it’s Black who finally breaks the exchange by surprising Truth with a headbutt instead of a chop! This staggers Truth back but Truth comes right back towards Black only to get caught with a swift kick to the midsection which Aly follows up by snapmaring him down to the mat. Truth lands seated on the mat as Black runs in with a dropkick to the back of his head! Holding the back of his head, Truth rolls across the mat and under the bottom ropes to ringside. Daniella Kennedy: “Truth looking for a bit of a breather here after taking that dropkick right to the back of the head.”MvH: “The old man needs to take five. Stamina not what it used to be. Age comes with its price for us all, though I have my excuses. It seems self-righteousness is useless in the face of the passage of time. But he’s stumbling right into the dragon’s den…”Christian Quinn: “I agree, Michelle: could be a mistake! Outside of the ring is where Alyster thrives.”Rod Sterling: “That’s a fair point but Truth is no slouch out there either!”As Truth tries to shake off the cobwebs, Black Jesus doesn’t give him much time to recover because he dives out through the ropes with an elbow suicida that connects and sends Truth crashing into the safety rails! The fans at ringside get up close and personal as Alyster leans The Exile up against the railing and its a VIOLENCE PARTY up against the railing as the crowd goes wild. Aly unleashes some rapid fire chops and elbow combinations before grabbing Cyrus by the head and repeatedly slams his head into the railing before finishing him off with a big jumping kick to the head that sends Cyrus OVER the railing and into the front row! Alyster Black takes a moment to walk back to the ring and roll in and out to break up the count of Richard Davis. He heads back over to Truth, who is struggling to get back to his feet on the other side of the railing. Black grabs him by the head and looks to suplex him back over the railing, but Truth battles back with a pair of elbows..and Truth reverses it and lifts Black up in the air! The fans clear out and it’s a vertical suplex from Truth INTO THE FIRST AND SECOND ROW OF CHAIRS! Daniella Kennedy: “These fans are getting more than they bargained for in this one!”MvH: “Pandering. Slightly pathetic, and perhaps even unbecoming of two former world champions. This referee is losing control…”Christian Quinn: “I think the fans want more! They’re loving every minute of these two beating the living tar out of one another!”Aly clutches his back in pain as Truth slowly gets up and grabs him by the mask to pull him back up to his feet. Truth tosses Black into the rail and this time it’s The Exile hitting some knife-edge chop combinations to Black’s chest before grabbing Aly’s right arm, lifting it up in the air, and driving it down across the railing not once but twice before backing up, clearing away the fans once again as he charged in with a CLOTHESLINE sending both men back over the railing to ringside! Richard Davis very slowly continues his count, clearly giving these guys some leeway with such high stakes as Truth picks up Black and rolls him back into the ring before rolling back in himself. Black begins to get up to his knees… but Truth charges in… WANDER’S WRATH! Truth makes the cover on Black! One - Two - Kickout! Not deterred by the nearfall, Truth goes right back on the attack - driving his knee down into the right arm of Alyster Black twice before taking him by the mask to pull him back up to his feet. MvH: “Credit where it’s due: Cyrus Truth is a tough old tree, and he knows how to control a match. God knows how I only won three out of five of our previous encounters - there’s a resilience and a drive about the Exile that can’t really be explained.”Christian Quinn: “And Truth is finding himself in the driver’s seat right now and he especially seems to be focusing his attention on that right arm of Black Jesus.”Rod Sterling: “This is not by happenstance. This is a calculated attack by Truth to take away one of Black’s biggest weapons, that One Shot Kill!”Daniella Kennedy: “Taking notes, Michelle?”MvH: “Uncle has an A.I. that does that, Daniella.”After a couple elbow strikes to continue to wear down Black, Truth lifts the X Champion up into the air, driving his right shoulder down across his knee for a Shoulderbreaker! He goes for the pin again! One! Two! Kickout again by Black Jesus! Truth once again wastes no time going back on the attack as he drops a knee down onto Black and then grabs that right arm and locks in a Fujiwara armbar submission! Richard Davis slides down into position to check on Black, who can be heard expressing the pain but shakes off Davis. Truth continues to apply the pressure as he wrenches back on Black’s arm and shoulder, extending that 90-degree angle back as far as he can. Davis continues to check in on Black while the crowd is on their feet, cheering on Black. Alystery begins to twist his legs, trying to roll and break the hold, but finally moves his legs over enough to get to the ropes and break up the submission. Richard Davis gives Truth a pat on the shoulder to indicate the rope break and Cryus releases the hold. He backs off as Black begins to pull himself up, clutching his right arm. Truth moved back in on the attack with a boot to the midsection before Irish Whipping Black into the corner! Cyrus charges in with a clothesline to the cornered Black before he begins to unleash a flurry of stomps to Black’s midsection, working Aly down to the corner… Truth licks his lips as he looks out to the crowd… FIRST FIVE STEPS! The crowd counts along as Truth stomps Black’s head into the turnbuckle! One! Two! Three! Four! Five! Christian Quinn: “Stirring any memories?”MvH: “A lot of this is, with both men. Those stomps are not a fun time, although even a dolt could surmise that by just watching them.”Christian Quinn: “Can one surmise that you’d rather face Black in the final? Alyster has been on the receiving end of much of the Exile’s offence so far in this one, and may come into Denver weakened up by this onslaught.”
MvH: “Either of them will do, Christian. Cyrus is a man I know well, and though I tired of his words, I grew fond of our dances. And he hasn’t been able to leave my name out of his mouth ever since. A chance to silence him would be enjoyable. But I have a score to settle with the X Champion. Twice he’s beaten me, and now he debases himself with the company he keeps…”The Former FWA Champion and reigning X Champion looks to be out of it as Truth pulls him back up out of the corner and brings him back towards the center of the ring. Fisherman Suplex into a bridge! One! Two! Thre…Kickout! Cyrus rolls back to his feet, stomping on Black’s back as he tries to get back up before lifting him up himself. He lifts Black up onto his shoulders in an Argentina Backbreaker looking for EXILE’S EDGE, but Black begins to struggle in his clutches. He delivers some elbows to the side of Truth’s head and manages to escape down the back! Truth turns around and is met with a HEADBUTT from Black! Truth staggers back and Black strikes again with a leaping enziguri to take The Exile down to the mat! Rod Sterling: “Alyster Black just swung that door back open and it looks like this could be his chance to battle back!”Black holds onto his right arm as he delivers some stiff kicks to the back of Truth as he is trying to get up to his feet. Truth makes his way to the ropes and finishes getting back up to his feet but Black is right there on the attack as he scoops Truth up and bodyslams him to the mat before delivering a double foot stomp to the chest for good measure! Black drops down for the pin. One! Two! Kickout! Black Jesus goes back on the attack as Truth rolls up to his feet, sending Cyrus into the ropes but following him in with a rolling elbow strike! Truth falls backs into the ropes, but Black is slowed by the pain in his right arm. He shakes it off and sends Truth into the ropes once again, but Truth reverses it and Truth strikes with a discus punch! Black staggers backwards but mostly absorbs the blow! HEADBUTT from Alyster again! Truth falls into the ropes… and Black whips him into the ropes once again, and this time catching Truth off the ropes tossing him up onto his shoulders - POP UP Death Valley Driver! Instead of going for the pin, Black steps over Truth, standing above him now before grabbing both of Truth’s arms and pulling back on them… he places his boot across the back of Truth’s head… CURBSTOMP! And the crowd loves it! Black rolls Truth over and now goes for the pin! ONE! TWO! THREEE-NO! Truth gets his shoulder up! Alyster Black slowly pulls himself up off the mat. With Truth still down and slow to recover, Aly begins to climb to the top turnbuckle, perhaps thinking about a Diving Moonsault… But Truth gets back to his feet while Black is ascending the turnbuckles… Truth hits the ropes with a SPRINGBOARD DROPKICK to the side of Black as he’s getting to the top turnbuckle… AND BLACK GOES SAILING OFF THE TOP TURNBUCKLE DOWN TO THE FLOOR at ringside! Truth takes a moment to regain his composure before sliding out to ringside, looking to go back on the attack while Black is using the ring apron to pull himself up. Truth delivers a couple forearms to Black’s back before attempting to toss him into the ringpost… but BLACK REVERSES it and sends Truth HEAD FIRST into the ring post! Truth hits the floor as blood now begins to roll down the forehead of The Exile. Black notices that as he reaches over and grabs a handful of Truth’s hair. Christian Quinn: “Uh oh! Alyster Black smells blood in the water! This doesn’t bode well for The Exile!”MvH: “Shouldn’t the Kennedy be the one doing shark metaphors?”Rod Sterling: “I may be mistaken but it seems Dreamer feels less confident the deeper we go into this match, and the more she sees of her potential opponents…”MvH: “...”Sitting Truth up on the floor, Black stands behind him, holding his head up with a handful of hair… AND BEGINS TO DRIVE REPEATED ELBOWS down into the wound on Truth’s head! More blood begins to gush down Truth’s face as Black pulls him back up to his feet, clutching his head in a front facelock before DROPPING HIM WITH A DDT ONTO THE FLOOR! Black picks up Truth’s motionless body, struggling briefly to get him up onto the apron and then pushes him under the ropes back into the ring. Black slides back in and makes the cover. ONE! TWO! THREE! No! Truth gets his foot on the ropes! Black shakes his head as he reaches over and grabs the far leg off the rope and this time hooks the leg and makes the pin again! ONE! TWO! THRE- KICKOUT! Black pulls himself up as Truth begins to use the ropes to pull himself up as well but Black is there with a chop to the back and sends him back down to the mat with a BACK SUPLEX INTO THE TURNBUCKLES, Truth’s head bouncing off the middle turnbuckle before he collapses down into a seated position. With Truth cornered, Black rushes in with a running facewash to the bloodied face of Truth. Christian Quinn: “I’m not sure how much more of this Truth can take! His face is now a bloody mess as Black is not letting up!”Black grabs Truth by the boot and pulls him to the middle of the ring before pulling him up by his hair. After helping Cyrus up to his feet, Black lets go of him and lets him stagger in the middle of the ring. Out on his feet, Truth looks to be in a world of trouble as Black measures him up… he runs to the ropes… ONE SHOT KILL! CYRUS DUCKS OUT OF THE WAY! A surprised Black gets hit by Truth with a stomp to the back of the knee - WANDER’S WRATH! But Truth is unable to capitalise as he drops to a knee after laying Black back out. Black begins to slowly lift up on his arms on the mat, but Truth staggers over and knees him in the side of the head before lifting him up… into a Fireman’s Carry! Rod Sterling: “This could be it! The Journey’s End could finish off Alyster Black here!”MvH: “It will. Beyond a doubt.”But Black begins to battle back on the shoulders of Truth, causing Cyrus to stumble towards the ropes and drop Black down across the ropes onto the apron! From the apron, Black delivers a forearm, but it's BLOCKED by Cyrus and Cyrus grabs that right arm and DROPS IT DOWN ACROSS the top rope! Black clutches his arm as Truth grabs him and runs with him from in the ring, Black running the apron and Truth drives Black head first into the top turnbuckle! Black is left leaning up against the turnbuckles on the apron as Truth now begins to climb the turnbuckles from inside the ring… He tugs on Black’s mask and Black begins to climb up the turnbuckles from the apron… The crowd is on their feet as now both men are standing on the turnbuckles… EXCHANGING BLOWS… Both men teetering with each blow… But it’s Black who gets the upperhand… AND HE LIFTS TRUTH UP ONTO HIS SHOULDERS! AVALANCHE DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Rod Sterling: “Alyster Black Does The Right Thing and Rides The Bomb To Hell!”MvH: “Kubrick references are passé as hell.”Christian Quinn: “These guys both want this so bad! They’re throwing everything at one another! And now they’re both down once again!”Slowly… very slowly… Black rolls over and drapes his body across Cyrus. ONE! TWO! THREE! NO! SHOULDER UP by Cyrus at the last possible second! Christian Quinn: “That was about as close as you can get to a three! I can’t believe Cyrus found the power to kick out of that!”Both wrestlers are slow to recover, but as they are getting up, Black reaches over and grabs Truth, taking him down to the mat with the Saka Otoshi into the Bulldog Choke submission! Once again Richard Davis gets down into position to check on Truth, who for now is shaking his head, refusing to give up. Truth musters up the strength to lift himself up on his arms… slowly making the crawl towards the ropes while Black pulls back, putting as much weight across the back of Truth’s neck, pushing up on his feet… But Truth continues the crawl and makes it to the ropes to break it up! Black goes on to release the hold. Truth grabs the ropes and begins struggling to his feet, blood still rolling down from his forehead as Black charges in with a big shoulder block that sends Truth through the ropes to ringside once again! Back in the ring, Black waits as Truth begins to get back to his feet at ringside before he charges to the far ropes… he runs and LEAPS over the top rope… FOSBURY FLOP connects to Truth to another big pop from the crowd! Black gets back up to his feet first on the outside, grabbing Truth by the head and attempts to toss him head first into the ring post again, but Truth blocks it with his foot! Truth battles back with a pair of elbows to Alyster’s head before he shoves Black right arm and shoulder first into the steel ring post! Alyster leans against the post, struggling and holding that arm in pain… as Truth runs in with a running BOOT TO THE ARM UP AGAINST THE RING POST! Black slumps down to the floor, now leaning his body up against the ringsteps as Truth stalks over him. Truth notices Black’s position, cornered between the ring steps and the apron… and he stands over him… FIRST FIVE STEPS - Truth STOMPS into Black’s face up against the ring steps as once again the fans count along! ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! Truth pulls Black back up and rolls him into the ring and slides back in and goes for the pin. ONE! TWO! THREE…BLACK gets his shoulder up! Daniella Kennedy: “Just two?! I thought for sure that was it!”Christian Quinn: “You have to wonder how much more punishment Alyster Black can take?!”Rod Sterling: “With all Hell he went through against Devin Golden and this battle with Cyrus tonight… the fact that Black is still able to kick out is a testament to this man’s will to win!”MvH: “It’s just a shame the other guy wants to win, too, and is just getting finished caving his head in with his boot. A will to win will only get you so far, tulips…”Truth looks over to Richard Davis who confirms it was just a two count before he begins to get back up. He reaches up and wipes the blood away from his eyes and grabs Black. Cyrus lifts Black up into a Fireman’s carry… looking for the Journey’s End… BUT BLACK ESCAPES DOWN THE BACK! Truth turns around… ONE SHOT KILL! It connected! “FUCK!” That is the sound of Alystery Black dropping to a knee and clutching his arm in pain as Truth hits the mat as well. Black manages to crawl over and get the pin! ONE! TWO! THREE! NO! Truth with the last second shoulder up again! Daniella Kennedy: “Cyrus kicked out of the One Shot Kill!”Rod Sterling: “I don’t think he got all of that with that damaged arm though! That along with not being able to make the immediate pin factors in to this match still going on!”MvH: “When he’s in the ring, Cyrus Truth is a thinker. A real ring comandante. That strategy paid off and saved the match-up for him right there. It is only a shame his intellect doesn’t extend to those frequent occasions when he finds a microphone in his hand and a spare forty minutes to monologue.”An exasperated and exhausted Alyster Black sits up on his knees as Truth rolls away out onto the apron, trying to recover while Black begins to get up. Black makes his way over to the ropes and grabs Truth by the hair before attempting to suplex him back into the ring, but Truth battles back and lifts Black up over the ropes, but Black comes back down and lands on the apron alongside Truth! The two begin to exchange blows on the apron, Truth lighting up Black with knife-edge chops while Black strikes with his left hand! Chop! Chop! Chop! Black gets the upper hand and brings a knee up to Truth’s midsection before grabbing him and hitting a Russian Legsweep OFF THE APRON TO THE FLOOR! Both men are down once again as Richard Davis begins to slowly count them out outside the ring. They both begin to show signs of life… stirring as they get up onto all four limbs and Black grabs ahold of Truth’s head first and drives a knee into his bloodied forehead before locking him in a front face lock and setting him up for Satan’s Spike on the outside! He lifts him up… But Truth battles it off! A combination of elbows to Black’s midsection creates some distance… And instead it’s Truth lifting Black up onto his shoulders… JOURNEY’S END TO THE FLOOR! “HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!” the crowd echos as once again both men are down! Daniella Kennedy: “I echo that sentiment…”MvH: “Terrible chant. Terrible crowd.”Christian Quinn: “That could have done Alyster in… but it looks like Truth is barely able to move either after the move! We could get a double countout here!”Rod Sterling: “No one wants that and I don’t even think FWA official Richard Davis does either… he’s been very lenient with out his count tonight because we all want to see a definitive winner here!”MvH: “Rules are rules, Sterling. Count them both out and be done with it.”Truth finally is able to get to his feet, grabbing Black by the mask to pull him up and onto the apron, sliding him back into the ring with Truth following in to finally break the count. But Truth doesn’t go for the pin! Christian Quinn: “What’s he doing? Shouldn’t he be going for the pin here??”Instead… he pulls Black back up to his feet… he pulls him up onto his shoulders once again and walks to the center of the ring… Rod Sterling: “THAT’S what he’s doing, Quinn! He wants to make sure Alyster is down for good this time!”MvH: “...”ANOTHER JOURNEY’S END! Truth hooks the leg! ONE! TWO! THREE! {RESULT}Winner: Cyrus Truth by pinfall in 32:11. A bloodied Cyrus Truth stumbles to his feet and is greeted by Richard Davis who lifts up his arm in victory. The crowd gives Truth a standing ovation for his win and his efforts. Kurt Harrington: "Here is your winner… Cyrus Truth!!"Christian Quinn: "What a match and what a finish! Cyrus Truth has done it!”MvH: “Just barely…”Rod Sterling: "These two absolutely gave each other all they could take… but it is in fact Cyrus Truth who is going to Back in Town to face off against Michelle von Horrowitz, the woman sitting immediately to my left, in the Finals! Two opponents who are certainly no strangers to one another!”Daniella Kennedy: "I don’t think anyone will argue with another chapter in that rivalry! Michelle?”MvH: “Excuse me, tulips. I want to offer my congratulations.”We hear the sound of a headset being set down as Alyster Black rolls out of the ring to give Cyrus Truth the run of the stage. Truth spends a moment climbing up to the second rope, where he doesn't pose, but instead stares out over the arena. His ribcage expands and falls with heavy breathing following his exertions in the main event. Rod Sterling: "The Exile goes for over thirty minutes here in the main event against the FWA X Champion… but there's no rest for the wicked! MvH rolls into the ring behind him…"Daniella Kennedy: "Is Truth going to have to fend her off, too? Wouldn't surprise me, but I'd have hoped for better from one half of the FWA World Tag Team Champions."Truth hops down from the second rope and turns around, realising now that his old rival has left the commentary booth, entered the ring, and now stands before him. She is smiling, but there's a sinister and almost condescending edge to it. She's also giving him a short clap, joining the audience in their applause as his music blares out of the arena's speakers. Truth takes a couple of steps towards her. He has no words for Dreamer. Not right now. All he offers her is a glare. And, in return, Michelle von Horrowitz offers him a handshake… Daniella Kennedy: "A show of respect?"Rod Sterling: "Unlikely, Daniella. More mind games, I'd wager…"Truth looks down at Michelle's outstretched hand, and then up into her eyes. He holds the glare for a few moments, his facial expression unchanging, before he turns away. The handshake remains unreciprocated as he climbs out of the ring. Christian Quinn: "The Wayward Warrior wants nothing to do with it. He's been burned before by Dreamer, and so he heads to the back."Daniella Kennedy: "Seems like the animosity between these two is still very real."Rod Sterling: "And the latest chapter of this rivalry is now only three weeks away! Thank you for joining us for this very special edition of Fight Night, ladies and gentlemen – it's been an absolute honour. For myself, Christian Quinn, and Daniella Kennedy, it's good night, and we'll see you in Denver!"The show ends with a shot from over Michelle's shoulder as Cyrus walks up the ramp, not once turning back to face the woman he'll go to war with again at Back in Town...
